Get on the Uber grind to fill in the blanks if u got a whip that ain't older than 2008...will at least keep the lights on and food in the fridge...don't know what ur mortgage/rent like or other expenses...if u do it sign up for the debit card and do instant pay after ur trips...money goes on the card the same day...
I have an emergency fund so I'll dip into that. DC area traffic is crazy and I don't want to be in it if I don't have to.

does this occur only on federal or on state level as well and how often does this happen where you can't work
This is federal government...not sure about state level. I happens every 4 or 5 years.

So when the government shuts down like this (which is fukked up anyhow) , y'all don't get paid? :picard:

Live in America bruhs :francis:

Work for the U.S government bruhs :scust:
Sometimes. I didn't get reimbursed last time. Some agencies have a different pot of money so they may get reimbursed.
Is it everyone except police, fire, and mail again?
Not sure. But that's usually how it is. I'm an accountant so I know I'm not going in. In fact, I got word from the bosses before I left work that if we're shut down I won't be on the exempted list. Only 3 people where I'm at will be (in an office of 400)...two are higher management (GS-15s) and one is a Commander (O-5 Navy).

Government workers are the laziest, least productive workers there are. This week without pay makes up for all the hours y'all steal:mjlol:
Not all of us are like that. And fukk that I want my money.
Government gigs got GOAT benefits tho
Yep...people actually celebrated last time that we went without pay. Mad because they don't got the benefits we do.
