You're always curious about working capital fund agencies. Cuz you guys keep working until the funding runs out. I'm in an appropriation agency, so we stopped working as soon as the funding stop.

Financially I am. Just tired of the back and forth. But like Coco, I'm not going to complain about the time off. I just hope they don't snake their way and not giving us our back pay.
If this happens I can guarantee #3rdTimesTheCharm

Yeah this is the first time I've worked at an agency with funds

The last two shutdowns I was furloughed the entire time
That was suppose to say "I'm always curious".

But this is my 4th shutdown.

Back at 2013 I actually went without pay for one pay period. No backpay that time.

I worked for TSA during a few of these shutdowns or threatened shutdowns and the anxiety was usually the worst part. I don't remember suffering financially but the fact we constantly dealt with the threat sucked.

Working for Union Pacific there's a bit more breathing room before a prolonged shutdown starts to affect more of the general economy/public. Trump's shytty economic policies already have me anxious enough about having enough traffic to maintain my seniority, don't need anything else.

As of Sunday I will be

Our current division will cease to exist after Sunday. We had reserve funds so our last work day is today

Our start date for the new division was supposed to be Monday. The new division doesn't have reserve funds

I am going to enjoy my time off. However, I feel bad for people who live paycheck to paycheck and or don't have savings
Can y'all file for unemployment?

are you prepared for a couple months of this?
in 30 days there's very few pay and budget people there if that happens The government stops paying bills.

No one gets a Social security check no one gets a retirement check no vendor gets paid Acquisition is already at Cost Plus just imagine how much they'll charge the government to make a widget if they're not certain when and if they'll be paid?

It would trigger a depression if that happens I'd expect the 25th Amendment to be implemented so It WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN

Do we know how long this could last? I go back to work November 4th. They just put in my travel authorization. I guessing my tickets won’t be able to be bought since the Army “pays” for my tickets?

I’m a contractor. I don’t know how our contract is funded as in monthly or the whole year. I’m thinking quarterly but when does our quarter start is the question.

We are operating still. People have to be ISR’ed but For how long idk.

Hopefully they can fund the govt soon. I got a VA claim that needs to be processed too.
:rudy:
If you were a DA civilian and it was mission required you'd go being a contractor,,,, unless it was national security related you're staying home.

I hated DTS did they replace it?

You need to tell brehs how to get in. fukk ICE Railroads have the best retirement in the world.

I was shocked find this out and they have a whole sub agency just for Railroad retirees.

Im a contractor and my agency has carryover funds but they were not allowed to use. Caught everyone by surprise and we were ill prepared. Been furloughed since yesterday. I got hella pto but my contractor won’t allow us to use it. I’m straight as long as this doesn’t drag out for months and even then my credit is good enough that I’d just take out a loan.

This! Sadly I think this may be the longest shutdown. I say that because of how they've treated us thus far
