Feelings on being a Stepdad?

I have a stepdaughter, and at times she can be unruly as fukk, talks shyt, wants to snap at a nikka. My dad was barely around, lied whenever he was late or didn't show. I use my experience to make her life better than mine. When I met my lady, I took it as a sign to be a better man and help out where help was needed. 7 years later happily married with a boy of my own and a great little girl I call my daughter. I love my family to death and have raised this little girl since she was 2 years old (9 now). shyt has changed my life for the better.
How do you deal with her when she becomes unruly tho? Do you have the freewill with her mother to discipline her? Or do you just not bother with it until her mother is around to deal with it?

I dated a woman with a kid, was not for me. Was 19 dating a 23 year old with a 3 year old kid back in my simp days.
Couldn't go out as often.
Used to wake up early on weekends.
Dirty looks from the baby daddy family (funny enough he never gave me any shyt, he probably felt sorry for me
)
Time spent doing things I enjoyed were replaced with activities that the kid enjoyed.
Asking for a baby sitter to go out.
Kid was spoilt too so she was very bratty and manipulative.
These things seem selfish, but to be frank I don't have kids and therefore have no reason to deal with the lifestyle changes kids come with. The woman wasn't even a dime

Yup. Was friends (co-workers actually) with the mom before she was married and before she got pregnant.
Dad wasn't shyt and been gone since his baby was 6 months. Me and her officially got together when her daughter was 14 months and she she'll be 3 in November. Even tho she calls me Walt, I'm the only father she knows and we don't know if we'll ever tell her I'm not her real dad.

A nikka told me something one time tho...he wasn't with his BM but they maintained a solid friendship or whatever. She had just started dating another nikka, and my homie said he told the other nikka that, basically his BM p*ssy was always gonna be his, and that whenever he wanted it, the other nikka would be irrelevant.
I feel like that's kinda true to some extent

I had a stepdad. I use to be against being one but I thought about how much mine looked out for me and treats me like his own child. With that said it depends on the kid alot. If the kid is an a$$hole with behavior problems no way.
