Same can be said with black male militants their issue isnt white male patriarchy, they want to replace the white image with a black face and stand beside white women. That's their strategy for defeating white supremacy.

i dont think black men have an issue with patriarchy, (neither do BW to be honest) but we'd just like our own intact structure. instead of existing in a matriarchal bubble led by unaccountable women, that can't defend itself against other patriarchies.Same can be said with black male militants their issue isnt white male patriarchy, they want to replace the white image with a black face and stand beside white women. Okay this was a good thread but my logic meter went off unfortunately at this post. This is a poor argument.
1. Susan B. Anthony is dead and has been for a long time.
2. Even if Susan B. Anthony had horrible views, this does not discount the necessity or legitimacy of feminism. At that point you might as well use Elijah Muhammad as an example that black power is a self empowering movement because he okay'd killing Malcolm X.
3. Almost every philosophy or religion or way of thinking has had its history with people who weren't perfect or used it just to position themselves. I'm an atheist, but that doesn't mean that I agree with atheistic regimes such as Mao's.
Dat boy went to collegeOkay this was a good thread but my logic meter went off unfortunately at this post.
Just because Susan B Anthony is dead, that does not mean the legacy of her organization is totally immune from her views. Using your logic, the KKK could transform in the future to be a pro black organization, and therefore totally absolved of its past. Doesn't work like that. It doesn't discount the legitimacy of feminism but the concerns @Elle Driver and others have about the racial and class undertones of "Feminism" are also not to be discounted, especially when one of the founders of a major feminist organization espoused views which confirm with Elle's view.
If you're going to use the wishy washy definition of feminism in which the goal is to have equality with men, then not only am I a feminist, but the vast majority of Westerners are. Marx was a feminist 50 years before Anthony using that line of thinking. Feminism denotes a specific type of thinking and a specific ideology.

Peace.Because their issue isn't really white patricarchy. No, they would LOVE to change places with white women and receive the benefits of white patriarchy.
Black feminists chief issue is that they are aligned with men who have systematically been trampled and have a harder time providing the protecting, comfort and image that their white counterparts take for granted. A large portion of black feminism is anti-black male rhetoric. So, it's no surprise these women will either marry white or become lesbian because that is better than being with a black man in their calcified mind.
Black feminists don't want to destroy patriarchy. They're just mad that they don't get to enjoy it. They want to switch spots is all.
That's also part of the reason white feminists are leery of them because they know they got one foot on the protest line and one foot in the bed with her husband.
Why you think these b#tches love the image of Olivia Pope so much?
Peace
this does apply to most. It's insane, but true. Elijah didn't OK killing Malcolm X.This is a poor argument.

Stats please. Y'all gon' learn to stop stating shyt as fact without providing links, stats, and charts. I can make up some bullshyt too and state it with confidence. Don't make it true. Until you have some real demographic data backing up your claims about black feminists. I call bullshyt. Hell, are there ANY studies on the black feminist demographic? We haven't even come to a consensus in this thread on what a black feminist is. I've seen wildly different interpretations. How the hell can you generalize about a group that isn't even clearly defined. GTFO
