Society isn't. Most of them feel that their just tools to be used to further someone else's goals. From in the work place to the streets to their own homes. I don't know if I told this story but on of my sistas quit her job at a school board because her boss (white female) used her insight for improving urban schools and instead of making her in charge of the project she gave it to some white dude that doesn't even have kids. Her efforts and work earned that man a raise and he doesn't know shyt about urban youth.

As for what theyre doing, the letting their voice be heard via internet and meetings. Networking and creating infrastructures in which they themselves have can benefit from. She left that job and started her own tutoring and business course for young black men and women out of college and that need the work experience just to get their resumes notice. She got this idea and some of the fund from a sistas group in Florida I believe.

classic willstyles :heh: say something partially incorrect, then follow it up with an exuberant "personal story" that no one can verify :dead:

Nice try, but you're not gonna try and guilt the females here. My passion for black issues manifests in real life, where it counts, not on some message board.
@Poitier what I think he's trying to get at is you'll see all the black women of the coli come out the woodworks for supposed black women bashing threads or topics where the discussion gets derailed there but you don't ever see them in the kinds of topics he's talking about.

basically the level of energy and attention is disproportionate when it comes to these things so the rationale that you don't want to talk about race that much doesn't hold water for all the females of the coli.

You make light of black women's insecurities (you ran that pony tail joke into the ground). shyt is not cool esp when you know it's the result of white supremacy, and for you to make light of that as a black male is pretty fukked up.
They don't care but a perceived slight against black men, they become the big bad wolf. Or whiny jerks

:sas2: just like how most of the dudes on here say something incorrect and then follow it up with paranoia and insecurities with a exuberant " scenario " based on what a couple of women say and hash tags

Well, I'll just speak for me. I've posted 3 articles on The Race Track. Academic and popular media discussions related to dissecting racial tension and history in the U.S. No response. I'm not here to talk to myself. The other race threads I see in The Race Track focus on light vs. dark and interracial relationships, which I'm not interested in discussing at all. I don't think those conversations go anywhere and they just drag us all through the mud. Sometimes I'll venture into the Higher Ed forum and check out their political discussions, but I have to be in the mood for it. :manny:

I've used that pony tail joke on you before, does that mean i'm bashing you? Yall acting like i make threads like "Black women ain't shyt, i love dem PAWGS" . I've made more inflammatory remarks on Black men that tap dance for White people, that is a result of White supremacy but i make a light at Black women that willingly indulge in that CAC worship and now i'm labelled a Black woman basher. Yall ridiculous, nobody is off limits. :beli:

I can not peek into the mind of any human. All I have is their actions.

Based on actions, Black men are far more into Black history and Black current events.
Is that so ? But yet you can peek in my mind to try to measure my black consciousness based on a site that you see me post.

Are we using the coli as a barometer of black conciousness now?
