Why does it appear that the majority of self-proclaimed black feminists marry white men, become lesbians, or remain unhappily married?
Because their issue isn't really white patricarchy. No, they would LOVE to change places with white women and receive the benefits of white patriarchy.
Black feminists chief issue is that they are aligned with men who have systematically been trampled and have a harder time providing the protecting, comfort and image that their white counterparts take for granted. A large portion of black feminism is anti-black male rhetoric. So, it's no surprise these women will either marry white or become lesbian because that is better than being with a black man in their calcified mind.
Black feminists don't want to destroy patriarchy. They're just mad that they don't get to enjoy it. They want to switch spots is all.
That's also part of the reason white feminists are leery of them because they know they got one foot on the protest line and one foot in the bed with her husband.

You don't have to use the word "you", did you read what you quoted? it said " I assume they're crazy" and you said that was a cop out and then tried to use what other women on here do to support that.
The coli can expect what they please. They go looking for the extreme shyt then act shocked and surprised when they find it. The only time I see the extreme shyt is on here when it's posted by people that hate feminists.
this gets tossed around here a lot but its funny how you'll struggle to find an instance in which a woman that openly calls herself a black feminist married a white man.
I can think of 4 openly, self-proclaimed black feminists that I know off the top of my head who are married/engaged to white men.
There's also Angela Davis and I'm sure I'm forgetting others.

You can think of is great, but can you find me some instances? You wont struggle to find a black feminist blogger, theres' multitudes of those, but can you find me any evidence that most of them or a significant portion of them are trying to marry white men?

The idea of feminism has morphed throughout the years, which is kind of why people get confused about what a feminist is. There are several stereotypical types. But there's really just one type that the media and MRAs focus on. Then there's the tumblr feminist. *cringes*

Alot of dudes on here have insecurity issues when it comes to females. If they feel like a woman "doesn't know her place", they'll resort to petty name calling. Pretty similar to the way a white person will call a black person an "uppity negro" for speaking out against racism. Dominant groups don't when someone challenges their "natural order of things".

I am many things, pro black is one of them.
To me it is just semantics. It doesn't hold as much weight as it does to some of you. I respect that. So I will use whatever word has the same meaning but is less of a threat?/ less offensive to you.
I am a womanist. I am for woman's rights. I am for equality. I am for fairness and justice in a corrupt and unjust world.
Issues such as sexism, racism, classism, colorism and other isms & skisms and white supremacy are not confined to certain boxes. They spread and affect everyone.
So as women, black and white we may deal with the same issue of sexism but will be affected in different ways and seek different solutions. A trans*woman or a Muslim woman will deal with sexism but have a different perspective on it and seek different solutions.

There are many different subsets of "feminism". I tend to use the word feminism because it is most familiar to the majority. However, traditionally white women have had to some extent still do have more control of the image and its brand. Even, just talking about white feminism alone, it has also had a different ideologies behind it. There were 3 different waves of feminism.
There are the bra-burning slutwalking feminists and the women who rejected the traditional skirts and dresses and makeup and wore traditionally masculine outfits.
There are many different feminists. Feminism is a broad term, that just means that one is for woman's rights in a patriarchal society.

The tenacity of some men who refuse to step into someone else's shoes.
To refuse to think that "maybe I might not be completely correct".
I end up repeating myself and so I just stop posting until I can have a conversation that will have some kind of effect rather than talking to a brick wall.
*It's hard for me to put my thoughts into words so my posts may seem all over the place.
