The version of the Frostbite Engine they're using is next generation, they were using the Ignite engine for 14, 15 and 16, which is why it looked good but not necessarily great. The lighting, physics and overall look of Fifa 17 should be a pretty big step up over the previous ones.

Frostbite is what had Star Wars looking the way it did. Basically EA's own engines suck compared to the ones DICE makes.

Frostbite should be a bonus based on how it completely changed the Battlefield series. Either way, FIFA has never struggled with the presentation aspect. I'm interested in seeing how the game plays.

That story mode looks interesting.
Frostbite will make a game with already great presentation look even more ill.
