co-sign breh, I haven't bought a fighting game since Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2.

WWE games don't count as regular fighting games though, so I'm not counting those.

This thread is some bullshyt. If you don't plan on actually looking past the surface of fighting games then you will always think that the genre is a ripoff. I've had more fun with fighting games than any other genre period. Add to the fact that online lets me play a whole bunch of different people with different playstyles is enough alone for me to get my money's worth. I've played a lot of games and most games don't have nowhere near the replay value that fighting games offer.

The biggest thing with fighting games are the competition factor. Yeah nice single player content and lil extra gimmicks are nice, but the gameplay and competition are the meat and potatoes. They are fighting games, wtf did you expect from them?
