Do you people KNOW how much game developers put into adding pointless fukking filler for you casuals just so you could buy their game? Let's review.

Street Fighter x Tekken - the gem system was added for newcomers to have an advantage against skilled players. Gem System was soon exploited into DLC garbage and made the core mechanics of x Tekken, which was /GOOD/, into irredeemable shyt.
Soul Calibur III - Namco made a full scale strategy RPG campaign after the great reception from Weapon Master in SCII. Game bombed because it was PS2 exclusive, not to mention the fact that the only reasons nikkas bought SCII was for that garbage character Link, thus confirming more casuals putting their dumbass influence in a genre they don't even play.
Mortal Kombat: Deception - Konquest mode was developed with more of a focus than the core (broken) mechanics.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon - KREATE-A-FATALITY, more Konquest mode, more character customization, more fukking filler. Core game was garbage.
Tekken 6 - Scenario Campaign. Garbage.
Soul Calibur: Lost Swords - designed for the casuals who wanted muh single playerrrrrrrrrrrrr. Garbage microtransaction fueled shyt.
The King of Fighters XIII - lol I'm a KOF player specifically and no one bought it.
Skullgirls got universally panned for it's lack of single player content.

Gee look at all of these games that could've been potentially good that the casual audience has ruined because you nikkas are too dumb to learn a fukking game.

That isn't to say you guys didn't do any good.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is spectacular.
Tekken 5 was packed with content.
Skullgirls, Killer Instinct, Virtua Fighter 4, BlazBlue CP, Guilty Gear Xrd have fantastic tutorial modes for newcomers (that people don't use cause muh storryy.)

At this point, the developers have to fronthead a game with fukking filler for idiot journalists (outside of three legitimate journos/fighting game players) who can't bother to learn a game cause 'waaahhh it's too haaaarrrd'

MK9 got universally praised cause of it's story mode. Netcode was ass.
Injustice got universally praised cause of it's story mode. Netcode AND gameplay was ass, and got progressively worse because of it.

Look at the fukking metacritics for legitimate fighting games with no single player filler and the ones with it. The score difference is uncanny.

Looking at MKX now and how there's an option to PAY for easier fatalities just goes to show that you casual motherfukkers should not play fighting games. The Netcode is atrocious and the PC version is :flabbynsick:, while the PS4 version is completely region locked altogether just goes to show a lot.

I love what NetherRealm does with it's story mode...but that's not why I buy fighting games. I buy them to learn the game and improve my skills. I get more hours out of a shytty fighitng game than any other game released. Because the grind, for me, is incredibly satisfying.

this is the shyt that happens when button mashers boost their self esteem by beating up all their little cousins who whole weeks on end....

losees one time to semi-serious/serious players with that obscure character no one plays with...

and then calls them nerds and freaks and never want to play that fighting game again.

they want DOA Volleyball.

MK Basketball and shyt.

4 characters for $30, and a bunch of costumes. Not to mention you don't HAVE to pay for the characters immediately, you can try them before you buy. DLC has been notoriously cheap for fighting games in comparison to other genres (unless you're Arc. System Works.) You would know that.

If you knew fighting games, I mean.
.

4 characters for 30$ s a good deal for you :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol:
Yea DLC is notorously cheap for fighting games. mkx continures this trend with low costing easy fatalties :sas1:

Mortal Kombat on SNES had a good chunk of the fatalities removed from the game as well as the main appeal of the series--the gore and violence. Genesis was obviously the better version of the game, but of course you would know that if you PLAYED fighting games.

i was lke 5 when genesis dropped so excuse me for not bein a old dusty nikka like you :heh:

fightiing games havent changed at all since 20 years ago. same old tired formula designed for old heads . no nikka under 25 trying to hit "kick: and "punch" all day fighting the same 15 people over and over. yall nikkas got the attenton span of a dying rhonosarus(dead long) :heh:

it sounds like you sus at fighting games :sas2:

i havent playhed fightng games since tekken tag. i used to really love the genre but it got old after playing the same game year afyer year after year. absolutely 0 innovation. and miss me with that "but the core mechanics have been redone". sike. ryu still the same ryu from sega. that nikka should be 75 by now. :old:

everyone loves talking bout how madden and 2k is just roster update then buy super street fighter then super street fighter turbo then super street fighter turbo plus

"but 3 new characters and 4 costumes is a fantastc deal"

:mjlol: :mjlol:
