Do you people KNOW how much game developers put into adding pointless fukking filler for you casuals just so you could buy their game? Let's review.
Street Fighter x Tekken - the gem system was added for newcomers to have an advantage against skilled players. Gem System was soon exploited into DLC garbage and made the core mechanics of x Tekken, which was /GOOD/, into irredeemable shyt.
Soul Calibur III - Namco made a full scale strategy RPG campaign after the great reception from Weapon Master in SCII. Game bombed because it was PS2 exclusive, not to mention the fact that the only reasons nikkas bought SCII was for that garbage character Link, thus confirming more casuals putting their dumbass influence in a genre they don't even play.
Mortal Kombat: Deception - Konquest mode was developed with more of a focus than the core (broken) mechanics.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon - KREATE-A-FATALITY, more Konquest mode, more character customization, more fukking filler. Core game was garbage.
Tekken 6 - Scenario Campaign. Garbage.
Soul Calibur: Lost Swords - designed for the casuals who wanted muh single playerrrrrrrrrrrrr. Garbage microtransaction fueled shyt.
The King of Fighters XIII - lol I'm a KOF player specifically and no one bought it.
Skullgirls got universally panned for it's lack of single player content.
Gee look at all of these games that could've been potentially good that the casual audience has ruined because you nikkas are too dumb to learn a fukking game.
That isn't to say you guys didn't do any good.
Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is spectacular.
Tekken 5 was packed with content.
Skullgirls, Killer Instinct, Virtua Fighter 4, BlazBlue CP, Guilty Gear Xrd have fantastic tutorial modes for newcomers (that people don't use cause muh storryy.)
At this point, the developers have to fronthead a game with fukking filler for idiot journalists (outside of three legitimate journos/fighting game players) who can't bother to learn a game cause 'waaahhh it's too haaaarrrd'
MK9 got universally praised cause of it's story mode. Netcode was ass.
Injustice got universally praised cause of it's story mode. Netcode AND gameplay was ass, and got progressively worse because of it.
Look at the fukking metacritics for legitimate fighting games with no single player filler and the ones with it. The score difference is uncanny.

, while the PS4 version is completely region locked altogether just goes to show a lot.
