problem are the dunks are getting harder and harder to do cause people have seen everything b4 gotta do something people have never seen
exactly.
i dont know why people cant comprehend this.
yea, shyt was trash... how come these dudes miss so many damn times? Back in the day, a guy would miss once or twice at the MOST... you'd figure these scrubs know they'll never be on a big stage like this ever again so they'd be practicing for weeks, but they still suck
The contest just needs more recognizable names. Westbrook, Blake Griffin, Rudy Gay, Josh Smith, JR Smith, Paul George, Iggy, etc. I know basketball fans who had no idea who some of the contestants even were tonight, so imagine the casual fans who don't really follow the NBA like that.
There's also way too much usage of props. That shyt needs to go.
because back in the days, the dunks were simpler & type-repetitive. thats why alot of them completed the dunks in one-take.
the people that claimed they were real basketball fans, lied to you homie. these players arent scrubs. all of them play except for james white, who is a slam dunk legend. some of these dudes are starters. kenneth faried will be an all-star in a year or 2. gerald green is no newcomer to the big stage. hes won this contest already. and i believe he may have been like 19 when he won it.
with the exception of russell westbrook(who doesnt strike me as a contest dunker), all the names you listed have already been in the contest. some have been in the contest multiple times.
if you didnt make the all star team then you can't be in the dunk contest.
yall are too much into names & hype.
what type of rule is this?
most great dunkers were never all-stars. most all-stars were not competition-caliber dunkers(lebron). alot of those dudes cant dunk at all.
you eliminate dudes that never made an all-star game and you eliminate most of the goats, most of the memorable dunks, showings & moments.
