Future is good for a hook, but I doubt people can tolerate his mumbling, irritating , auto tone vocal for a full album. His destiny to flop was inevitable because he doesn't make good music.

I didnt even realize the album was out.

The roll out of this album was horrendous.

Theyve been dropping singles for like a year, dropping one with miley cyrus then completely changing directions with move that dope. It just seems so disjointed and unorganized.

And it has zero chances of having legs.

Pluto moved its initial units off tony montana and same damn time. After that they rolled out turn off the lights and neva end that pushed the album past his core fanbase and gave the album legs.

The label blew it by trying to pursue the turn off the lights lane by releasing honest and that miley song first. It didnt work so they pushed the album back and went back to a street single and got pharrell.

Now theyve exhausted tthe hits before it hit stores and have nothing left to push the album

This is squarely on the label, they mismanaged the album by chasing pop hits instead of conrinueing to build his fan base. Reminds me of the nikki minaj situation.

I just wanna take time out to really laugh at the new school of rappers and all you bum nyggas that be on here screaming that todays rap is satisfying.. Y'all trap loving nyggas have gotten the worse period of rap ever. These nyggas are garbage/fly by night ass nyggas man. lol

at least in the 70's early 80's it was still growing lyrically and musically. These new nyggas just have absolutely no sense of artistry. Just copy cat, have 800 features and still aint shyt, ass rappers

ok, so make another era

There's nothing interesting about future. If you listen to his interviews he has no personality. That's why I like ross, whether you believe him or not, you cannot deny that rozay has a personality that makes you want to buy the shyt he's selling.

Yo my ninjas, in my everlasting mission to put the numbers in perspective, let's look at these future numbers a little more closely.

This is futures 2nd album after a relatively successful first campaign. So his budget is probably in the mid to low six figures.

He has a pretty heavy hitting production line up including The Runners, Mike Will Made it, Sonny Digital, Boi 1da and Metro Boomin, all producers who have charted, most have charted several times, and a few who've had top 10s. In other words, they're expensive. I'd say 5-10 stacks a beat is a conservative estimate, if not just flat out low, but I'll give him the benefit of having strong relationships. $7500 x 12 = $90,000 at the absolute low end estimate on production.

He's got Pusha T, Pharrell, Kanye West, Drake and Wiz Khalifa as guests. Kanye and Drake have to be getting at least 30k at the absolute lowest. We also know Kanye appeared in a music video, which is extra $$$. We're looking at another $90k for features, again a low ball estimate.

So we're talking $180k just for production and features, not mentioning recording, videos, travel, marketing and promo, and his own pocket money. His total budget could easily have been $400k +.

After all deductions the label is making roughly $4-5 per copy sold, so at 45k first week, we're looking at $180k - $225k recouped first week. This album needs to make it to 100k just to break even. I think it's safe to say Future is sweating a little right now. This is a bad first week, and could potentially be an out and out disaster.

:youngsabo: you forgot about that good ole 360. Future prolly getting 40k-50k a show.....What % of this does the label get? Throw in single sales. Honest peaked at 55 on hot 100, move dat dope currently at 60. Single sales for those, plus spotify and pandora money and that's easily another 200k minimum

Dude Schoolboy Q just did 135+.

TDE is the biggest crew in the game right now thanks to Kendrick, they mos def have a fanbase outside the usual black music consumers. That said, I wish the album had steady legs to carry it in sales past the first week.
