@hex I need an honest mod answer. what are the statute of limitations when it comes to spoilers? how old does a tv show, movie, album, or game have to be before its legal to openly discussion? please and thank you.

Generally speaking it's up to whoever is talking about it, out of courtesy.

The only hard and fast rule is especially egregious shyt, like a show when it's airing and/or a big movie opening weekend. Or, a new game I guess. If it's story heavy.

Aside from that we leave it up to you all, if you decide you care enough to report it.

It's not exactly a sequel but it's also not a remake. It's like an alternative retelling of the events of the original game.

I understand why some people consider it a sequel but others say it's a remake. It's kinda both.

This is also true, there's more to the word "remake" than just a remake of the original game. The overall plot is about "remaking" the future, whereas the original game was about preventing meteor from being cast.

No, sounds like a redo of the game. They changed shyt that happened in the original story apparently (please no spoilers guys) but still retaining the heart of it from what I can understand.

If so, that's good.

It's part of the overall story. In the "On the Way to a Smile" book, after her death Aerith is aware while in the lifestream. She's also aware of Sephiroth's presence in the lifestream and can feel his anger, hate and rage, and his intent to change things.
