Hands down the best part of the trailer is Rude giving Cloud the Suge Knight treatment and throwing him into Aerith.

You ain't lyin. All that commotion and hyperbole for such a forgettable game. People were writing Playstation's obituary because it went multi.
I really hope FVIIR turns out good but like you said, they haven't made a truly great FF in a long time.
My thoughts exactly even tho I got shytted on for saying as much.
They keep experimenting with new gameplay mechanics that makes it seem like they want final fantasy to be an action game instead of a traditional jrpg.
My expectations for this game vanished the moment it was confirmed to not be turn based.
That looks so fukking unreal. Tifa's moveset and animations look so good and the hits look like they have "oomph". I can feel them behind the screen.
This looks perfect. They outdid themselves with the combat from the sounds and looks
of it. Even the camera looks perfect. In XV the camera was a nightmare whenever there was multiple enemies or stuff but so far the camera always seemed to be positioned perfectly here.

Can the 1 or 2 people on the internet complaining about the combat(despite it already showing to be grounded and more solid than XV) stop crying now?

Somehow they managed to recapture the magic of FF7 again. I'm highly impressed and this is square who's games I use to fall in love with.
