I just finished the game. It was one hell of a story, not sure how I feel about the ending but it wasn't that bad thou.

Overall, I gave this game a 8.5 or 9.0 out of 10. I can understand why everybody feels this game is not "Final Fantasy",not a truly JRPG traditional cause there are barely JRPG elements in this game, collect gil, items, etc are really pointless in this game. The side missions are okay, some great, some weak. This is a great "Action Story Game".

Starting to drag a bit for me. Kinda just wanna get this all over with. The lack of traditional RPG aspects really hitting me right now.

Sounds like you're exactly at the point I'm at, mentally. The gameplay systems have nothing left to offer so it's just basically a bunch of busy work until the next major cinematic boss fight

Beat the game last night, overall I’d give it a very solid 8/10, fun game with high highs but glaring lows. Oddly enough, the best part of this game is when it’s Devil May Cry/Bayonetta with a good story, the bad part of this game is when it’s a Final Fantasy game and it’s 30/40 hours long with drawn out mandatory filler quests in between fights with gods of mass destruction and the RPG elements not mattering beyond a certain point.

I’ll wrap up the monster hunting quests and try out NG+ later on.
