You guys don't understand the impact a hit single has for an artist that can push numbers. Jay dropped AG with the film hype it did 425,861 first week and peaked out at 1.2m.

3 years later Run This Town is popping and BP3 does 476,000 first week. The album has 3 hits and does 1.7m. In 2006 that album goes double platinum.

A lot of fans are casual.

If you dropped an album it would have no promotion.

Kanye's face projected on the side of buildings in Berlin, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, and Toronto is promotion. That shyt cost money. Just because it's not magazine ads or SNL appearances don't mean it's not promotion.

Fred.
It did have promotion. But nothing beats a song spinning on radio all day.

Power Trip has 10m views on YouTube.
