She grew up in a middle class white neighborhood ,went to prep school and attended a PWI

Her experience is not the norm of black people in America..we know that .
She’s an outlier. Is she black in spite of this ? Yes . But given her background it’s some situations she and black ppl like her just don’t have the background knowledge to speak on.

however there are other areas of the black experience where they can speak on and be an authority on it because they live it ..like the one provided in the OP ,being black in Corporate America ..or whatever

It’s not about being less or more valid/black.
