I’m calling BS on this part of your story off the fact that all hospitals have an HR or Administration Dept. Also it’s legally required for companies or organizations to have a complaint disclosure notice.

Maybe I need to clarify. It’s a small radiology institution that gets different contracts from Hospitals

This didn’t happen to me but my cousin. Dude works in a hospital as a system admin (remote). He has been there for 6 months and he always complained that his supervisor (Indian lady) didn’t like him at all.

Two weeks ago the lady put him on a PIP that was to last for a whole month.

Honestly, I read that PIP document and it’s totally not him. Everything was graded an F (even attendance) and he has never skipped work.

The PIP was to be for a whole month but two weeks later (yesterday afternoon) she fired him.

Here is the fukked up thing though……he couldn’t complain to anyone because they don’t have a HR department. NOTHING.

They tried to make him sign the PIP but he refused. Now they want him to sign the termination letter too.

Can he claim discrimination or something? Just tryna help a brother out
He needs a lawyer

Then they most definitely have an HR Dept or Admin. dept.

Where are you at? Canada or something? Stop wasting everyone’s time with the non-factuals and trolling.
:mjtf:
Radiology institution that has contract services with no HR Dept. 😭who hired dude and who provided his onboarding paperwork? A ghost? Or he just drive up to the Institute and declared himself an employee? Also there’s a Legal Dept - every organization has an employment lawyer.

How can his supervisor put him on a PIP, if he was doing his job…even if the sup didn’t like him? They can’t give an F in attendance if he’s never missed a day or isn’t continuously late. And a hospital without an HR department?

Yall really dont understand white supremacy do you. They got a loophole for everything. Alot of folks trying to dump off some people from being overstaffed. From essential to deadweight just that easy:respect:

Then move on and find a new job. Personally I would write an email to the lady and cc her bosses and dispute the pip alluding to some sort of personal non business related reason off my firing. But with documentation of proof. Glassdoor is also good to leave review to save others the trouble. Nothing slanderous or personal. If no documentation then he has nothing .

Thank you

PIP is just legalese for "quiet firing/ your ass is out of the door in the couple of months". When they formally put someone on a PIP, they already made up their mind to fire you, and it's just a paper trail to grease the wheels of your imminent termination.

to be honest, there's probably nothing he can do. but once he got on that PIP, he should have been looking for new jobs ASAP. either that or go to the doctor to see if they can get him on FMLA for something like (stress/anxiety/etc). that way, if he gets on FMLA, he can't get fired.

What exactly was he doing that was "playing loose"?

PIP requires documented examples of bad performance or activity counter to the standards of the company.

It includes catching, counseling and final warning of some sequence. It also requires sign off by HR so they won't get sued.

So if your "cousin" was on point he could easily counter whatever they had...he isnt/wasnt
