So why would I recommend brothers to apply for a job I’ll hook them up then get fired today? :francis:
Dude, You’re the one claiming your “cousin” doesn’t have an HR Dept or Admin at a medical facility.

Idk what your game is.
Air traffic controller. Cut point is 31 years old though and I’m too much of a stoner to conduct airplanes landing and taking off

I'm gonna tell you like this.

1. If you get put on a PIP, that is the company's nice way of telling you to start looking elsewhere while you are still on payroll. I have worked in management for a few years and have seen a number of employees put on PIPs. I have only seen 1 work out and it was literally on some 1 in a million circumstances shiit.

2. PIPs are not just handed out like candy. There is usually a long process to get an employee on one. There will be multiple people and multiple step ups in leadership involved to clear it. There are a lot of checks and balances to go through. Managers essentially have to present mounds of evidence to get one approved. So more than likely, your cousin deserved it. Nobody really gets put on a PIP by mistake or because their manager wants to get rid of them for no reason...

That is why it's so hard to fire people. Companies would rather eat the loss of having a shytty employee, than face a lawsuit for an unlawful/unjustified termination

This didn’t happen to me but my cousin. Dude works in a hospital as a system admin (remote). He has been there for 6 months and he always complained that his supervisor (Indian lady) didn’t like him at all.

Two weeks ago the lady put him on a PIP that was to last for a whole month.

Honestly, I read that PIP document and it’s totally not him. Everything was graded an F (even attendance) and he has never skipped work.

The PIP was to be for a whole month but two weeks later (yesterday afternoon) she fired him.

Here is the fukked up thing though……he couldn’t complain to anyone because they don’t have a HR department. NOTHING.

They tried to make him sign the PIP but he refused. Now they want him to sign the termination letter too.

Can he claim discrimination or something? Just tryna help a brother out
If you get put on a PIP:

1. your manager dont like you
2. you getting fired ao better start lookin for one

:heh:

Dang, that's tough to hear.

From what I understand usually PIP 99% of the time means you're about to get let go even if you bust your ass.

At least that's what I understand from most companies and stories I've heard. shyt is lame.

If anything he may have a dispute though if he disagrees and can prove he did not deserve such low marks to get placed on PIP in the first place.

I got put on PIP once because the manager claimed he was trying to show me how serious it was, in other words, he jumped a step

I went ahead and quit. They was scared like a mother, it took me 40 mins to leave the building. They brought every senior mgmt person they could find to talk me into staying. One dude asked me to pray to God first before I quit and see if it was in his will

Lot of these managers are in that HNIC/overseer in the plantation bullshyt. I swear, it's a mixture of them buying into the system for so long, that by the time they get handed the role of manager, they have self-indoctrinated themselves into attack dogs for the company, and a power trip they get for 8 hours a day before they go back regular life as another Joe Schmoe on the street.

You take the leverage they have over you, and fukkers fold like a cheap chair :mjlol:

PIP requires documented examples of bad performance or activity counter to the standards of the company.

It includes catching, counseling and final warning of some sequence. It also requires sign off by HR so they won't get sued.

So if your "cousin" was on point he could easily counter whatever they had...he isnt/wasnt

Not true at all. If for whatever reason they want him out, they can come with an improvement plan that's not attainable within the given time period. He mentioned that they fired him before the end of the period so sounds like they wanted him out of there regardless.

There has to be grounds for wanting him out....and if not just he can sue

HR wouldn’t help him with a PIP
This.

I worked in Healthcare remote as a billing specialist and the only African American male in that field. My manager at that time was racist and put me on that shiit after performing exceptionally well for nearly 2 years straight and as a final notice. I couldn't complain to HR. Luckily, I did like everyone said and found another job then quit without notice.

I then went on glassdoor, indeed and reddit then wrote a review especially to the customers to let them know to go to other businesses as they perform unethical practices. Today, that company is losing money as we speak and doing layoffs.
