Fired for being five minutes late

I noticed in many govt jobs the only thing they fire people for is being late. You can do next to nothing, constantly fukk up, miss deadlines, facebook all day, gossip and get in arguments, but 5 mins late oh hell no. fukk em breh IT temp jobs are a dime a dozen, your recruiter will send you somewhere else tomorrow. But next time remember nobody ever got fired for being early.

Yea I have seen that too many times.. But my thing is, you can't do enough for these companies either, I could have been early every day and stayed late, and came late once and same result.. It's cool I was looking to leave anyway, I couldn't be available 24/7 like they wanted

I got fired today for being 2-5 minutes late last week, maybe twice.. I just so happen to get in early today and my boss comes to tell me, they clocked my login times last week and I was a few minutes late.. this happened around 8;30 today

Ain't no way in hell you got fired for being two to five minutes late TWICE...FOH. They know they will have to pay unemployment for that shyt, ain't no company firing nobody over no shyt like that without having you sign a written warning and final notice so they won't have to give you unemployment.

If you're constantly ten minutes late for work, when do you take it upon yourself to leave 10 minutes early instead of your regular time? Most 9-5 jobs in an office setting don't be pissed if you get to work a half an hour early and leave a half an hour early and if they do have a problem with it say "fukk it" and just chalk up an extra two and a half hours of overtime every paycheck. People fukk me up with the whole "well they should be ok with it" bullshyt.

You are right, except in this case working 30 minutes later and being on call everyday isn't enough.. They have to work with you in someway

What if there's road construction on your only route to work and the schedule of the road work isn't quite clear? You said you rode Metro out here, well Metro is also notorious for track work that adds even more time to your commute. Like I was saying, in the DMV shyt can be unpredictable and ain't nobody checking MDOT/VDOT/DDOT on top of checking the weather. I feel you tho, cuz usually I try to leave an hour early cuz I'd rather lounge around at work and be on time than be hauling ass breaking traffic laws n shyt.

This nikka is bullshyttin, he ain't just get fired for being 5 minutes late, he probably a stank breath ass nikka or something and they needed a reason to fire him. nikka had the whole office huddled up like "this stanky muthafuka gotta go" looking at punch cards and shyt, as soon as they saw how many times he had been late his boss was like if he late again today. nikka walked in and his boss sent him an email that simply read:

No I said they warned me before, but I didn't have to sign anything, they just sent an email, so last week happened after that warning, which is technically fair, it's just extremely petty, it's not like I wasn't putting in extra effort, it's just the traffic and the metro is crazy inconsistent out here. I can't control that, and let's not act like my being "late" effected anything, the people I support don't come in until :830 so I'm just sitting there browsing the coli anyway
