I usually love when I get fired. I usually have a couple of them thangz saved up, so between unemployment & savings, I'm enjoying a 6 month vacation at least

You obviously don't know shyt about unemployment. If they don't have any paperwork with your signature on it saying that acknowledge the warnings and shyt like that then they have a very slim chance of winning the dispute. You're saying they fired you after being late twice (something I believe is a lie) and that you didn't do anything else wrong...you would win that shyt easily.

Sounds like they just wanted to fire you and used the late excuse. I mean, five minutes? How many work places have you worked in where A LOT of people weren't walking in the door 5-10 minutes late every day? Especially in non-customer facing postions.

Plus, you're the only IT guy on site? Even if you were late, if you were doing the job, they would've kept you simply because they had no other choice. What company throws away an IT person who's familiar with their system without having others in line?

For some reason, they just wanted to get rid of you.

Yea but I would have to go to court to dispute it, I don't have time for that. By the time all this gets processed and they have heard both sides I would have found another job..

It's obviously a lot more than what he's saying. Dude must have been insubordinate or something. He claims they wanted him to be on call and he said "fukk you", claims they sent him emails after hours and he didn't check them (probably was supposed to be he said "fukk them"), they probably told him "you gotta stop being late" and he responded "but I got to school at night and come to work in the morning" to which they responded "we pay you 70 grand a year, figure it out" and he then again said "fukk it". To which they said "fukk you" and now he's on coli bytching about it.
