I thought he had the suicide grip but no. His grip was normal.
His wrists just gave right out.

When I see videos like this.. is the weight too heavy or these guys have no grip strength???

I have never had a barbell slip out of my hands like that

That weight bounced right off him like some kids on a trampoline.

Most of the people you see repping 315+ are fat.:skip: The spotter did nothing wrong. The guy probably asked him not touch the bar after he unracked it.
The bolded is my experience as well. Dudes look like they only lift Lindt Lindor Truffles but come in repping 315 for warmups. I can think of 4 that go to my gym who do that and they are bulbous af.

spotter ain't strong enough to hold all that weight up from that position :aicmon:

yeah but both of them together would have lessen the impact on his chest. I always make sure they can at least bring it down AND push it back up before I let go as a spotter.

Spotter let go to early.

The "camera man" is wrong too for running over there while still filming. like put the phone in your pocket and go help

I watched it again and it looks like it slipped. I guess he couldn't keep a strong grip. I've seen guys get stuck but still maintain grip enough to keep the weights from dropping that fast.
