only way Floyd would ever lose is if he fought somebody who could literally out box him and lose a decision.

He fights to cautious to get taking out, even if he gets caught with a good shot which he has in the past, he has a great chin which is never talked about, and adapts. Nobody is going to be able to land combinations on him, one shot isn't going to KO him.

How soon we forget. Roy at his peak and in his prime was held in the same regard as people who dikkride Floyd now. He got knocked out by Tarver cuz he dropped all that weight after fighting Ruiz at heavyweight. Even the first fight when he beat Tarver he wasn't the same anymore and his legs and reflexes were shot. If Roy would have retired after Ruiz or stayed at heavy and fought Holyfield/Chris Byrd or someone similar in size people would still tout him as possible the GOAT. Now why I never thought he was the greatest ever, that doesn't take away the fact that prime Roy Jones is one of the greatest boxers ever. And would beat or be able to hang with any great fighter at any point in history.

:usure: I mean, his hand speed was dope and all, what great did he dominate? As far as I know he lost to Hopkins, and got knocked out by Tarver. Then he proceeded to go down to lower competition and still get knocked the f*ck out. :sitdown: Your hero is not a legend. Sh*t would be like saying Chris Webber or Melo are GOAT status. Again, :sitdown:

Roy doesn't have the best defense / offense in history by a WIDE MARGIN

/fail

And Floyd doesn't either with all the great boxers in history. You can pull up all the stats that you want but numbers don't always tell the whole story.

who said anything about discrediting..the moron youre cosigning said Floyd has never been down and he has..officially once..and unofficially once cuz Judah did score that KD that was ruled a slip

Show me proof of officially once.

Matter fact, f*ck that, and argue why Robinson / Ali / Foreman / Tyson / Leonard couldn't make it past 40 - 0, yet floyd is 44-0... Lets talk about that...

To me, greatness is being UNTOUCHABLE...

Jordan = Untouchable

Floyd = Untouchable

Ali = Got touched

Robinson = Got touched

Leonard = Got touched

Tyson, the most dominant fighter in his prime in history = got touched..

Breaking that 40-0 barrier is near IMPOSSIBLE.... Goats couldn't do it, Floyd could...

Combine that with the fact he has the best stats ever also, and it's an open and shut case.

What great fighter in his prime than Floyd dominate? Don't come out your ass with Marquez cause that was a total mismatch and Juan shouldn't have been fighting at that weight. Hatton was a good fighter but that's all he was. De la Hoya Mosley and Cotto were not at their peak when he beat them. Muhammad Ali got beat by Trevor Berbick and dominated by Larry Holmes. But do we not consider him a legendary fighter? I assume you are young to not know how great Roy was in his prime and that's why I wish he would have retired after the Ruiz fight or stayed at heavyweight. Cause people will hold his last few years over his head and forget how great he was for over a decade. The man was the first former middleweight to win a heavyweight title in over 100 years. That's pretty legendary to me.
