it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to get a degree in accounting. You would have most of the credits since you already majored in finance?
Yea I would already be mostly done. I go to LSU and the programs are a little different. For finance yu take about 5 finance courses some Econ and some accounting. For accounting they put they accounting boot camp. Yu take about 10 acct courses. Yu basically have to kno it like th back of ur hand b4 yu graduate

10k and change. Almost got enough to just pay it all at once and I've been thinking about doing that but I'd have to start from square 1 with the savings all over again. Need a new car and a place soon too :mjcry: too many big financial decisions I need to make at once don't know where to start

Honestly I would pay off the debt immediately instead of letting it gain interest. If you don't have a job I would get a job immediately and start saving. If you can't afford a place of your own look for a room mate, or if you must move back in with your relatives for a year. $10,000 is not too bad. The issue is when that interest starts killing you.

If you NEED new a car & place, paying off the loan is not a priority right now.

Nada. Had financial aid and Florida bright futures scholarship. Went to a relatively cheap public university. Thank you to my working class Haitian parents for forcing me to do my work in high school :ufdup:and convincing me to go to my local university instead of moving to another place where I would have had to pay for housing etc. I wouldn't change those parents for anything in the world. I owe them a lot.
:ahh::blessed:

..That was undergrad.

Now grad school....

Used my GI bill for most of it but couldn't finish in time, so I took out about 8k to wrap it up.
I wanted to try school without using the GI BILL until I got my associate's..

But that housing allowance is too damn tempting and it's clutch :ohlawd:

I'm getting $1671 at my school....my boy lives in NJ but his school is in NYC and the bah for a NYC zip code is well over $2000..(EDIT it's $3759 :wow: )

I was trying hard to find a school in an expensive zip code and live on campus but I only have community college grades :mjcry:

Our ancestors worked for free and it was government policy for us to be uneducated so f em! :yeshrug:
They'll get their money when I am able. If I can't pay it back, America :ufdup:.

Besides as an attorney if I commit 10 years to public service they'll waive the whole thing.:sas2::win:

However, I rather bust my ass and those cacs in law school to get those job offers from large law firms. That six digit shyt! :damn:

Got a job making 41k a year in my hometown. I'm livin at my parents right now. I was lucky enough to go to college in my hometown so I could just come and go anytime I wanted to stay with my parents and live cheaply for a semester or longer.

I guess I don't really need them. Got a little hooptie that I use to get around that I mainly use but I let my little bros use it if they ever gotta go somewhere. That's why I'm looking into getting one for myself
