"Young Thug is trash", man get the entire fukk outta here... internet nerds can hate all they want, but rap has always had a place for spitters with dope melodies and crazy, off the wall flows.
I think this sums up what I was trying to say pretty well. Saluteconsider myself somewhat of a purist when it comes to hip hop but Thugga has flows for days,it's just hit or miss as far as combining cadences and writing with him.You can almost tell when he places attention to lyrics as much as flows(which sound like he comes with flow first and then writes to make it work).I think he shined on RG's mixtape because he had someone in the studio streamline his ideas to make better songs.I loved RG's the tour but i could also tell that he would have a hard time emulating that cause the production/mixing/structure was so strong.Imo he went back to unlocking flows but kinda got lazy on his wordplay again
It's the same with Eminem. You do not have to like the content or the fukkery, but you can appreciate how talented he is from a purely technical rapping perspective.
The features he has on Drakes album are just the latest examples.
I think he is one of the most gifted writer/rappers we have seen in a minute. I always compare him to James brown for real.
There is barely anyone who can match his creativity and ear for cadences and flows. I just wanna know if other MCs have the same appreciation as I do. It really does remind me of Eminem when I just sit back and marvel at how this gentleman puts his word together. Do y'all think I'm crazy, or do you understand where I'm coming from?
