The point is Love averaged 17 and 9 on 45% shooting in the regular season.
He's averaging 11 and 10 on 32% shooting in the playoffs. He played with LeBron all year when he was producing right?

No, the point is that Love has never been utilized correctly in the offense. If he was, his numbers would be far better than 17 & 9 per game. There's no reason why Love, as a second option, shouldn't be around 22-24ppg while averaging double-digit rebounds.

Players who are capable of averaging 26ppg for a season, don't suddenly see their production, at the age of 29, plummet to the extent that Love's has unless they are injured or forced to operate in areas they're not effective in. For Love, it's largely been the latter for entirety of his time in Cleveland, and that's solely attributed to Bron Bron ball. He's basically become Chris Bosh 2.0.

Love was a stat padder in minnesota his numbers are inflated heavily.

Kobe got worked by a cac and ran crying to management for a trade to Chicago the same year Lebron was beating the defending eastern conference champ and 2 time nba finalist pistons with Boobie Gibson. Stop it.

Kobe shytted on Nash :bryan: the Suns were just a well oiled machine and a much better team that THE Smush and Kwame Lakers.

And Kobe demanded a trade and got what out of it:patrice: Oh yeah Pau Gasol for Kwame trade :skip: And Pau had his best years with Kobe :jawalrus:

Plus he didnt run crying to management, he appeared in a fan video in a parking lot, and then ran to ESPN.:pachaha:

2007 ECF's was one of Bron's finest moment though, I'll give you that :obama:

You do realize he went from the 3rd option to the 1st option his first 3 years in Cleveland right? How many 3rd options do you know averaging 26ppg in the league right now?
The game has changed. Kevin Love would not put up 26ppg on any current playoff team.

As for his "production" in his two most prolific years his team had a combined record of 66-82. So even when he was putting up big numbers it didn't translate to winning basketball. Every non-Minnesota fan on this board called him a statpadder before he came to Cleveland, now he's an "elite scorer/offensive player whose game is being shackled by LeBron.":mjlol:

Kobe averaged 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists on 45% shooting

LeBron is averaging 33 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists on 54% shooting.

Kobe scored 22 points in game 4, also only had 17 points in game 7.

Yep the Lakers almost blew a 3-1 lead to a team led by Ty Lawson and Aron Afflalo

:skip:

And yet you are still sidestepping my point.

Did LeBron drop 40 points in a loss or did he have a so so game? You are trying your best spin to make this a Bron vs Kobe thing.

I'm trying to explain to you that you can expect off days from a 33 year. Same reason Kobe had off days vs a terrible nuggets team . YOU made it about other players who don't even fukking compare to the level LeBron has been operating at in his 15th season. :skip:

Love is the current 2nd option on the Cavs. There is no reason why his production shouldn't be close to what it was in Minnestota if Bron Bron is the Magic Johnson-esque playmaker you all swear he is. Players don't lose the ability to score and rebound the basketball in their late 20's.

Maybe if Bron Bron stops hogging the ball and forcing Love to spend most of the game 18+ feet away from the basket, he would average more points on higher efficiency. Wishful thinking, I know.

Stop lying. Most of thecoli felt Love was a top 5-10 player before he joined Cleveland, and used his stats as proof of that.

Here are a couple of threads to refresh your memory:
Kevin Love
Can we finally call Kevin Love a 1st tier Superstar

Both threads were made during his last season in Minnesota. I'll link more threads if you'd like, but I think you get the point.

The only guy on here who consistently shyt on Love was that @Swagnificent dude, who was routinely negged, with the majority of the forum claiming he didn't know what he was talking about because stats! stats! stats!

Now being typical Bron Bron stans, you're ready to change the narrative and pretend the general consensus was that Love was always "a stat-padding loser" now that he's fallen victim to the Bron Bron ball hole like so many players before him.

"(Insert all-star player) is trash!" "LeBron needs more help!" Blah, blah, blah. Save the story, I've heard it before. In Love's case, it's Chris Bosh all over again.

And lol@ Bron Bron stans criticizing anyone for being a stat padder.

G.Hill has missed half of this series...Fisher > Hill
R.Artist avg 17/5/3 the season before joining the Lakers.and was still an elite level defender...Artest > Smith
J.Calderon shouldn't even be in the league...Vujacic > Calderon
Love isn't in the same league as Gasol...Gasol can post up,draw double teams, and defend the rim.Gasol > Love
A Hobbled Bynum was more effective than TT...Bynum could post up,draw double teams and provide rim protection...Bynum > TT
Odom > Green...Agreed.
Korver > Powell...Agreed.

I agree with you on Hood/Clarkson > Walton/Brown.But here's the problem...Brown/Walton were the 7th/9th options on the Lakers. The Cavs need Hood/Clarkson to be the 3rd/4th options...Hood/Clarkson have very little playoff experience...Hood battled multiple injuries late in the season.

Bonus:The Lakers had J.Farmar coming off the bench.

Also, this Cavs team havn't played that many games together. Most of the players on the 2009/10 Lakers team were seasoned Vets who had years of playoff experience.

LOL STOP IT .. ARTEST WAS NOT AN “ELITE DEFENDER” IN LA AND DOESNT MATTER WHAT HE DID THE SEASON BEFORE. TRISTAN ISNT BEIN UTILIZED, HE’S A DOUBLE DOUBLE GUY WHEN USED. LOVE WAS CONSIDERED A TOP 5-10 PLAYER BEFORE JOININ LEBRON. CALDERON IS WAYYY BETTER THAN SASHA..INJURIES HAPPEN TO EVERY TEAM. HILL WILL MOST LIKELY PLAY GAME 7.

NOT TO MENTION ALL THE SHOOTERS THE CAVS HAD, PROVIDING WAY BETTER FLOOR SPACING

FACE IT.. LEBRON IS LOOKING AT A LOSS IN THE FIRST ROUND WIT A SIMILAR CAST TO WHAT KOBE WON BACK TO BACK TITLES WITH. THERE IS NO BIG DISPARITY AND U KNOW IT.

Bron Is just a bigger Westbrook :sas1:

Rodney came to the Cavs averaging 17. Clarkson 15. And let’s not act like KLove wasn’t a rebounding machine and a beast during his time with the wolves. Does Lebron teammates suck or does Bron ball make players worse :sas2:

you can say that all you want but those guys are major players on playoff teams. I like them but lets be real about it. when they replaced Hood with Crowder in Utah, the Jazz took off, especially defensively. Utah didnt need Hood and LAL didnt need Clarkson. Cavs made a lot of moves this year but never addressed defense which is worse than their offense.
