For the first time in NBA history, the top 3 players are arguably internationally born. How do you feel about this?

What’s your list? And you talking like KAT is some scrub. Bro is the best scoring big man in the game.

Jokic won MVPs because he’s responsible for most of his teams success. I’d still rather have KAT.
How is KAT the best scoring big man in the game when Jokic, Giannis, and Embiid exist?

Jokic top 3 isn’t even a funny joke.

Lebron and Steph are two of the top 3. This thread has no merit

Lebron is past his prime you could arguable say what OP stated due to all those players hitting their primes or coming into their primes.

The last 4 mvps have been international. You can argue that KAT and embiid are better jokic but he has the hardware .

Luka is amazing offensively and I don’t think anyone is arguing Giannis

Gianni’s, Luka, Jokic

While there’s clearly an agenda being pushed(there’s no way Jokic should have won mvp over Joel) you cannot deny the changing of the guard.

If the NBA is defined by eras, then what do we name this one?

Unlike previous eras, which were defined by Michael Jordan and “who is the next Michael Jordan”, this might be the first time in a long time where the conversation will finally shift to something else.

Watching these dudes ball internationally this summer been fun.
2 of them don’t play defense so I would say no

The funny thing about this is, you put them in any other era and they'd be in the top-3 conversation just the same. It speaks to how global the game has truly become, and it's a shame how there's still a portion of this board who'll never give them their deserved props, all because they'd rather go to the grave clutching onto their keyboard militant chains that nobody in real life is ever going to notice to rob them of.

So? Did he get to a finals or win anything? I’m not saying he can’t but he ain’t do anything to be top 3 over Curry and KD yet
KD just got swept in the first round, in embarrassing fashion. I don't see how anyone could possibly argue that he's definitively in the top-3, and Jokic doesn't even have an argument. Your trouble is you're looking at what players have done throughout their careers, rather than ranking them as they're capable of doing now, which this thread is clearly outlining.

I mean, most folks can understand what the OP is stating, yet you tried to side-track it with some nonsensical argument by splitting hairs over which player is ranked where, ultimately only making yourself look silly.

KD getting swept is a non issue, which superstar player with a faulty team hasn’t? KD was just in the MVP conversation before he got injured close to the all star break. If Jokic and especially Luka didn’t win anything ever then how can they ascend to top 3 above Curry and KD. Giannis, Curry and KD is the 3 best players in the league right now.

When y’all coli scouts like a player then it’s logic but when y’all dislike a player it’s emotional agenda.

Jokic got gentlemen swept in the 1st round. If you’re going off playoff performance, then Jokic is severely lacking. :francis:

Jokic averaged like 31 points per game with 13 rebounds and nearly 6 assists for a trash roster In the playoffs. He is also the back to back MVP. I don’t understand how ya’lls brains work. :why:

Jokic is without a doubt a top three player.

It is when you're the reason they got swept. Bruce Brown outplayed him

Why do you view everything two-dimensionally all the damn time?

KD getting swept in the manner he did doesn’t give him sovereignty in these discussions. It wasn’t as if he went out there and performed at a high level - he shyt the bed in every single game, and what made it worse is that they were all winnable games. It wasn’t as there was a mammoth margin in talent and ability between the two teams that he simply couldn’t overcome. Just because he won some shyt about half a decade ago doesn’t automatically carry over to the now. He legitimately had one of the worst series’/postseasons a superstar has had in recent memory and in the context of discussing where players are ranked, that carries a lot of weight. Especially when Luka, Jokic and Giannis thoroughly outperformed him in the same environment. Now, that’s not to say that’s all that matters when comparing players, but nobody can reasonably argue that KD is without question a better player than all three as it currently stands.

I don’t have an issue with you believing KD is a top-3 player, because he has an argument for being so, the problem is you believing that argument supersedes all else, and your complete lack of comprehension matters to where you felt the need to derail a legitimate thread.

You don’t need to win a title to be in the conversation, otherwise, what the fukk was Bron before 2012? What was KD before 2017? What was Charles Barkley at his peak? What were all the recognised ‘best players in the game’ before they won anything?
