But at the same time, it’s tough to compare then to now because blacks were missing so many basic human rights that any law passed was a drastic game changer (in theory)

Well the open racism is what's making this revolution that's happening now in all directions.

So I'd say I prefer open racism than someone who will throw stones and hide their hands. Because now you can fight against it. Verses behind the shadows shyt you can't prove exists.
I remember applying for jobs and between me and the white guy I don't get it and the reason not explained. And white people were repeatedly doing that to black people. My personal experience I prefer people's biases to show.

But you see the dude who calls you nikka to your face and the guy who says blacks need not apply. If they openly do that nowadays their businesses and themselves are getting black balled. They suffer as a result. So yes I want him to openly show what he's about instead of having some systematic way of undermining me without me knowing what he thinks.

You might be being disingenuous. When people say that they like their racism "out in the open", they don't mean that they want to be harmed or want violence inflicted upon them. What it means is that they would rather a person that dislikes them be open and up front about it. That way, you can be avoided or dealt with accordingly. Display that hate so that we know what's up from the get go.

If I know that you hate me, I can avoid the food that you prepare, I can avoid speaking with you, being around you, etc.. As opposed to you secretly hating me, and then spitting in my food, sabotaging me behind my back, etc.. I'd rather see the snake that may bite me, as opposed to the snake being hidden.

This is common sense.

I would say that I like my racism out in the open. Let me explain.

one definition of racism is: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

If someone feels a certain way. I’d rather they be straight forward, as opposed to the smile in your face, call you such and such behind your back type.

Racism and violence are two separate things. Although, obviously one can influence the other. For the record everything you mentioned has been gong on forever though.

When people on here say - “I like my racism out in the open” they aren’t talking about white boys running around randomly shooting innocent people

they’re talking about politicians making it clear that they don’t give a shyt about black people

why would black people encourage white folks running around shooting blacks when they outnumber us 4/5 to 1 and most blacks people don’t even believe in guns

I'm glad I live in Cali and not the mid west or south. a white person has never tried me some blatant racist shyt. My nerve already kicks in when I sense some passive aggressive shyt from them. Im the type of nikka that don't talk a whole lotta shyt when I already made up my mind I'm about to smack somebody. To your first part, i'm literally replying to things people have said to me here and in real life. If you want to know if someone is being disingenuous, I would have to ask them. But they are 100% saying that they prefer that to the alternative.

As to your second point. My preference is that they are forced to hate you secretly, as openly hating you would ruin them.
Because if you think your boss, or your banker, or teacher, etc doesn't hate you, they do.

Does it benefit you to get fired today? Maybe to fail your class? maybe to get your loan denied?
Does it serve as a reminder?

You can be racist and not like me without violating. You can hate my people and think whatever you want, but the moment you cross a line, it must be dealt with.

All of the things that you mentioned are violations. If your boss is openly racist, that’s great. Dare him to fire you, and play your cards. Denied a loan or given a failing grade that you didn’t earn? There’s all types of lawsuits regarding these situations.

As opposed to you smiling in my face, but stabbing me in my back. Pretending like you’re for my benefit, yet you’re really trying to screw me over.

This is why I do not trust white people in general. Racist, not racist, leftist, conservative, progressive etc. They can not and shall not be trusted. I deal with them in a strictly professional and cordial basis only.

i'm from the north which has just as many racists as the south but they keep it on the dl. i've been pretty happy with the proliferation of shyt like blue lives matter/confederate flags because it lets me know which businesses not to patronize. if they weren't in the open about it i might end up enriching one of these racists which would be a worse outcome than them flying some flag imo.
