And those coupons are not the same as on the apps (compare, if you don’t believe me). But again, what apps are you using or websites, because they’re all tracking your data? The best thing Apple did was doing that Ask App Not To Track for every app, but even that means nothing

YOURE ON THE COLI. YOUR DATA IS TRACKED WITH EVERY CLICK. Have you ever built a website and done SEO and research on your traffic? I can see damn near your life story just by you coming to my website. And what I can’t see immediately, I can easily see with an extra step or 2… This is how websites build personas based on their users likes/intents. How do you think algorithms work?
That's a dumb argument. Just because I give my in-laws keys to my house, doesn't mean I should just give keys to everyone. There are far more protections browsing the web than downloading an app, and you know this. I can block ads, use a vpn, privacy browser, etc. At best a website learns about a particular browsing session of mine, but may not be able to tie together multiple browser sessions as the same user. But you know this.

lol, i respect a block rather than people going back and forth with me making themselves look stupid. 🤷‍♀️
but yeah morals are morals. this nikka will be crying in rap music threads talking about the downfall of the community then advocate for scamming/stealing just to save $2 on french fries.... while calling other people lazy for not doing so :pachaha: lemme guess.... he listened to this song to come up with this lifestyle?

The fact that you don’t understand that you have no “protection” online tells me everything I need to know and I can clearly see you’ve never built a website or any type of business ventures online. You have no privacy if I can see damn near all your info just by you coming to my website or app. Do you even understand something like cookies and how they work? Do you know what you’re agreeing to each time you log into a website? You ever read through a whole privacy policy?

Have you ever heard of DuckDuckGo? Do you understand that they were selling their data to Microsoft? And that was the “protection”, as far as browser based. Do you know about CCleaner, that everybody was using for decades that was supposed to keep things clean and private but was selling data to Russia? I’ll keep going

Want me to link you to one of my websites so I can tell you about yourself once you go to it?

You are making a false equivalency. Anyone who wants to steal your car or break into your house can and will. "Therefore you have no protection." Do you have locks on your doors? Of course uou do. Do they work? Of course. Not every app, nor every website, is malicious. Not everyone in your neighborhood is a theif. The true intended purpose of a fast food app serves the customer nothing, unless the customer thinks his privacy is only worth half off a Whopper.

Please go read a privacy policy. They aren’t breaking into shyt if you’re agreeing to their terms of allowing them to “break in” when you go to the website or sign up…

The fact that we all use the internet everyday but nobody understands it is absolutely mind boggling. I bet you do those social media “quizzes” where they clearly tell you they are taking your data…

Yeah, but sometimes I just get an itch for their signature blend of seasoning and sides. Plus, an air frier doesn't actually fry it and I hate dealing with the oil when it's breakdancing in the pan, especially since I like to cook shirtless :dame:, along with the disposal afterwards. With the coupons, I can feed all three of us for under $25 and it's hot and ready, which is still a great price to feed three people.

Cant lie,I miss the taste of grease that the air fryer cant replicate:ohlawd:. But its a good enough substitute for me.

And $25:picard:? At Churches you can feed 3 people under 15-20 and probably have left overs:wow:

On wednesday they got the 8 pieces of chicken for 8$ deal.

You are making my point. I get to pick and choose which apps I download and what sites I visit. You even imply it yourself. You simply havent made a case for why I should download an app when they send out paper coupons. I give up nothing for the paper coupon. So again unless your data is only worth a discount on fast food, what are you getting in exchange.

I've been online since 1994, so yes, I knew about Duckduckgo, CCleaner, etc. Im not an IT expert but was using BBSs, MUDs, MOOS, and IRC way back. I also know nearly all internet data is transmitted in plain text. Just like my home, I have agency over who I ALLOW in in my browsing sessions and phone.

Every time you click something you allow something into your home. If you don’t get it, you don’t get it. If you want to live scared like a food app is gonna take your info and put it on the dark web, then by all means…

I’ve been on this internet a long time (since Netscape Navigator) and have never had identity theft issues, never a penny taken out of the accounts that I use online daily, or nothing else

But like I keep saying…I bet you’re all over social media though, huh? No way you can be concerned about your data if you have ANY social media app on your phone

I get everything you are saying. I just don't agree. While Microsoft and Google hold all my secrets, that doesn't mean Facebook, TikTok, BK, or Starbuck have to as well. Sites you log on to frequently can get tons of data from you, but random sites don't. In a day with privacy browsers, and VPN companies making up the vast majority of YouTube ads, you absolutely can mitigate the data you transmit or allow to be taken. The data is only useful if they can attach it to a person, and randomly visited sites can't do that if you use a VPN, block cookies/trackers, and clear your browser each session. Not everyone is on social media, breh.

@B86 how many times do you eat fast food per week?
I don’t have a set amount. It depends on how busy my schedule is, where my meetings are, who I’m meeting with, and so many other things.

I’m assuming you’re gonna try to go to the “that’s not healthy” route, which I could care less because we are talking about costs
