OK, so to clarify, you were wrong?

Yea bro but the Rockets still matched up well with those 90's Bulls teams. I was just adding someone said the Rockets were 5-1 vs the Bulls in the 1st 3 peat and the Rockets got 'em again in the 97 season.

That was a long time ago and I got my years mixed up.

Plus....the Bulls hated double teaming players. Hakeem would have broken them out of that.
And the mid 90's Rockets title squads had shooters for days so Chicago would've had to respect Cassell, Mario Elie, Kenny, Mad Max out there. Either the Bulls double team or Dream averages 30 in a series

What Hakeem would have done to the "three headed monster" of Bulls centers. He would have been equal to that of MJ in a series and moreso defensively.

I swear that Bulls and Rockets not meeting in the Finals in the 90s was one of sports greatest robberies.

Again, Rockets had 6 chances to meet up with the Bulls in the Finals, so I don't want to hear that shyt that they would have undoubtedly won, fukk that

1991 - they get swept by the Lakers, who go on to get crushed by the Bulls
1992 - couldn't even make the playoffs :lolbron:
1993 - lost in 2nd round to Seattle (what Hakeem stoppers did they have? Seattle platooned two 6'9" guys at Center :heh:)

1996 - swept by Seattle, who go on to lose to the Bulls in the Finals (again, what Dream stoppers did Seattle have?)
1997 - couldn't get past the Jazz, who go on to lose to the Bulls in the Finals
1998 - 1st round loss to the Jazz, who AGAIN go on to lose to the Bulls in the Finals (Ostertag & Foster Dream stoppers? :leon: :pachaha:)

Rockets got bounced 4 times to teams the Bulls went on to beat in the Finals.

and none of those teams had great Centers to match Hakeem.

Cool, blame it on the Rockets inability to get out of the West.

They routinely faced tougher teams.

Think about it...the BEST team the Bulls ever faced in the Finals are the Utah Jazz who they played twice.

OK, and the Bulls went on to beat those 'tougher teams' in the Finals for 4 out of 6 of their championships
Thankfully for the Bulls, they didn't play in the west where familiarity with each other played a role in those loses.

The Knicks had a familiarity facing the Bulls often, awarded for "Playing the Bulls tough." I don't think the Bulls would have seen as many championships facing the Jazz, Suns and other Western teams as often in the playoffs as they did in facing those overrated Knicks squads.

Fair enough, I am just getting tired of the rhetoric on the Coli that its an undeniable fact that the Rockets would have beat the Bulls in the Finals

I think it would have been a 6/7 game series, but lets no act like its a foregone conclusion the Rockets would win when we never saw a team beat the Bulls once they got their championship swagger (yes, Orlando, but that team wasn't the Bulls we knew)

Yeah, those "overrated Knicks" pushed them to 7 games and came within a John Starks 3-pointer from winning in 1994.
The same Knicks who needed 7 games (and a Huey Hollins foul call) to beat a Jordan-less Bulls team:mjlol:
Anyway, the best Bulls team would've been in 1994 (they kept the 3-peat core and added Kukoc, Kerr and Longley in the offseason), but MJ retired just 3 days before training camp.
MJ should've been at his absolute peak at age 30-31.

93-94 Roster: Armstrong, MJ, Pip, Grant, Cartwright, Kukoc, Longley, Kerr, Paxson, Scott Williams, Perdue... :whew:
That team would've won it but they had Pete Myers instead of MJ :gag:

With the zone Hakeem was in 1994 and 1995, The Bulls aren't beating them 4 out of 7.
The Knicks, perennial bytches of the Bulls, pushed them to the brink, but the 90s Bulls couldn't beat them?

OK :heh:

The Bulls almost beat that Knicks team without MJ, they would have shyt on anyone they saw that season WITH him.

I think they split a Finals. all I know is, if the Rockets had as many cracks as the "they played the Bulls hard" Knicks, no doubt in my mind that unlike Ewing, Hakeem takes them over the top in at least one series.

OK :heh:

But that's not how it works :sas2:

If they played two straight years, HOU is definitely winning one of those series.

1995 Hakeem was on a straight mission to prove he was the best player on the planet :whew:
