I remember last year, people on here were talking like they would seriously compete with ESPN. Since then I've watched about 20 times more NBC Sports Network than Fox Sports 1. I don't think I have ever sit through a Fox Sports One studio show. Nothing they have done has been differentiated or relevant.
I was thinking the same thing a few ago. Fox Sports needs to shake things up because right now they're just sitting on the talent poached from ESPN.
ESPN is a behemoth of a corporation. They cover and manufacture relevant news, expert analysis, and radio shows and gossip. Fox Sports, on the other hand, can't even get the easy things right. They don't cover teams and profiles more substantively than ESPN, whom has dedicated team reports and insiders. Fox Sports 1 doesn't have any redeemable profiles or characters. ESPN already has a stranglehold over football. Fox Sports needs to expand their offerings, but push the most popular programming. While women are great for attracting viewers, content is what keeps people locked in. People watch First Take for Skip and Stephen, not whatever thot is sitting beside them. Fox Sports needs to remember this trend while they focus on garnish before flavour.
