Yeah that's true Fox needs more content, it sounds like they're making a run at the NBA tv rights.

Anyway the article I was reading which I think was back in June or July actually said the NHL playoffs is what put NBC sports over Fox. Its kind of crazy to me that their baseball ratings are so bad.
They do an awful job of letting people know when a game is on. It also doesn't help that sometimes the local broadcasts are on at the same time (like what happened with Yankees /Red Sox a couple of weeks ago)

The truth of the matter is that y'all don't want a new channel. You want ESPN to feel threatened enough to step their game up. You're too loyal to the brand and you don't wanna change a 20+ year habit for most of you. ESPN would have to flat out fold for y'all to entertain other options legitimately

they show champions league and soccer which is what i really watch fox sports 1 for. also, theyve shown plenty of dodger games this year which is good for those of us who still dont get the dodger channel

Look at the Week 1 CFB schedule they giving us Rutgers/Washington St, Colorado St/Colorado and North Dakota State vs Iowa St they got jabroni matchups on. They cant compete with lower level games like that they have no contracts that will hook it up with marquee games each weekend it's a tough deal.

I never watch any of the ESPN or FS1 games I got MLB Extra Innings and watch the local broadcast. I can't imagine people in Boston or NY really channel surfing to watch a 4pm game on some rinky dink channel.

I was just telling my brother how their production seems so amateur and white trash-ish. I've always hated the way Fox does sports. They don't cover games with the same prestige and classic quality of a CBS, NBC, or ABC

seriously the region channels they do sports on seems to have better quality than the Fox Sports 1 and Fox games

i mean they got pac12/big 12 games contracts. not much they can do if those schools not playing marquee matchups or other tv channels have the bigger games

I wish they concentrate on their strengths more, like interview segments and game highlights. ESPN is actually losing here cause they wanna go TMZ with every highlight segment now. :beli:

They're overloaded on UFC and Nascar to make room to put more effort though.

FOX Sports will never see ESPN in anything...ever. They will always be known as a sub par cable sports network. They butcher everything they get their hands on. Their HD feed is easily the worst of any of the other networks. NBC seems like they're content with what they have. And y'all better hope The NBA doesn't think about partnering up with FOX's wack ass.

i only watch either network for live sports anymore. nothing else worth a shyt on any of those networks

Going to the Coli for sports >>> Any station.

When you realize it's a bunch of talking heads who don't even believe what they say, but have to, to provide 2 diff perspectives, you realize communicating w people that believe what they say takes over.

I only watch either for live sports or when ESPN was doing 30/30's

Posters in here provide much more insight than these "experts" and "multiple sources"

theres so much good analysis and info, up to the minute, on twitter and other places that sports studio shows are worthless wastes of time for any useful analysis. there isnt one show thats actually worth your time anymore
