Funny enough the first isn't my favorite
either. I have it decently below Bandana and Pinata. I love like half the songs on Alfredo, but I always skip Look at Me, and there's a couple others that I like but don't love.

Still a great album. I actually expect to like this one more with the Japanese influence, less features, and more songs.

I love Al but his full albums have a tendency to have a few beats that are too dry or predictable. Some of his more basic loops just don't hit.

The Madlib albums have way more diverse sounds.

Why they name this one Alfredo 2 but have ramen on the cover with Japanese themed art and mini movie?

Name is because Al + Fred = Alfredo. And in their little fictional universe they moved their restaurant to Tokyo and serve noodles, and the name of the restaurant is Alfredo’s Tokyo

Man. In general I don’t love those acid trip type guitar shredding samples. I love Hoard 90. A few others. But 1985. 1995. 3rd Person. All 70. Etc. For the most part those aren’t my favorite beats
