Freddie was making fun of Benny getting shot. That's not something you forgive and forget. Freddie getting jumped in Buffalo isn't something you just move past.

They should both stop with the shots at each other because it's pointless but they'll never be cool so why pretend?

And fans choosing sides like they're a member anyone's crew will always be corny. I'll listen to both if the music is good. Their beef doesn't concern me.

If you're a features person you might like the first one better, and if you love the introspection on Skinny Suge, there's really not much in the way of that here. All the guest verses on part 1 were classic. And the first one had more introspection too with the George Floyd (RIP) stuff on Scottie Beam, and also Something to Rap About.

That being said...in basically every other aspect, I think I prefer part 2. But I was never as big an Alfredo 1 fan as most people. It's not in my S-tier of Alc collab albums, and it's not even high A-tier for me. I think it's a solid 4 but a lot of folks have it as a 4.5 or a 5. Part 2 has a lot more variety in production, more drums, more bounce, more types of sounds. Mostly it's just Freddie going hard bars. Even Skinny Suge 2 is super hard.

But this is definitely a Freddie solo album. Paak drops a hook, Larry drops a "Larry verse", and JID is really the only dude to go toe to toe. Beat for beat I think it's super hard to argue that part 1 is better than part 2. If you're a beat head you're gonna like part 2 more.

But I just listened once. And it's funny they made 1995 the single because I think it's the worst song on here.

Alot more somber than the first one. Nothing bad at all but I imagine that's gonna turn off quite a few people.

Tbh not really feeling this too much. Gibbs rapping is lazy as s*** and the flows/delivery aren't sharp. Beats are superior than Part 1 but features, bars, and lyrically are noticeably behind. I grew to like YOD1 but initially wasn't feeling it as much either :manny: $$$ feels like the last legitimately great Gibbs project to me, and tbh he had a legitimate 12 year run of great music. This is that the anything extra is gravy period.

I feel the opposite. Gibbs is actually carrying this one and I felt he was on autopilot for most of Alfredo 1.

On this one, we're getting standard fare Alchemist. Nothing bad but you can tell he saved his better shyt for Boldy, Evidence, and Roc during these sessions.

The project definitely gets better lyrically towards the 2nd half, but there is no good trademark flows or delivery imo to get me hyped in contrast to YOD1 which had stuff like "Yeah Yeah" or "Walk it Off", heck there no "Baby $hit" type of stuff either :yeshrug: Lot of it feels like it's going in one ear and out the other. JID was cool but Tyler and Conway had great features on the first, plus solid from Ross + Benny. I know I'll probably enjoy it more upon further listens.
