Gibbs spitting his ass off and here come :flabbynsick: rapping at 0.25x speed about nothing :gucci:
It's crazy bro they really do Larry dirty like that. When he;s on his own or rapping with Jay Worthy he can pull off that "I'm just a vibe" rap thing. I've been to Larry shows and he seems like a cool dude. But they low key do him dirty pairing him up with serious spitters. He comes off sounding legit slow beside guys like Freddie or Roc Marci.

I remember Larry did this freestyle and had a hard time rapping over a beat he already used while rapping off his phone.

He struggles so hard here :dead: I set it to start at 23:40 if the time-code doesn't work for you. I feel like this could be on those bad freestyle compilation vids

My Pops Forever RIP
All this talk made me go back and bump Fetti for the first time in like 3 years..

REALLY good project. But nothing to suggest they would’ve been the new Mobb Deep or Outkast if they pushed it more. Gibbs needs to get over it and move on.
He’s probably not AS upset as he used to be since in his head Alfredo validated everything he thought Fetti coulda been.

If you nominate this along with Clipse, Kendrick, Tyler, and probably JID for best rap album, that’s a strong list and enough for Freddie to think he’s in the right.

This is why I'll always prefer samples over non-samples. If you sample, you can literally have any sound you like. You can make a beat sound like anything as long as you've got an ear and a collection to search through.

If you play music, unless you're able to play every instrument, there's going to be a lot more limitations of what things can sound like. There are so many of the same drum sounds and synths in Pharrell's beats. Every snare drum on Almost Dry is a rimshot snare. Ace Trumpets, So Far Ahead, and Let God Sort Em all have very similar if not identical synths.

I love the new Clipse album BTW it's top 2 AOTY for me so far, and I bought it an everything. I'm just thunking out loud here.
Yh I agree with this 100%

Why would I want to hear unsampled music from a producer that doesn't know how to play multiple instruments and play them well. It ends up being simple 3 note melodies they played on a vst, how do people find that shyt dope.

The best unsampled music to me is one always produced by an actual band of musicians. You hear this more on Rnb and Soul albums these days.

I got mixed feelings on this, The music is really good, production is good rapping isnt bad but Freddie really be rapping about NOTHING at all. 0. just putting words together and I dont mean that in a good way at this point it just sounds like bullshyt

how many times can you rap about whores and nothing?

Can you imagine kendrick, Nas hell even benny or conway over this production? idk man

Yeah bro. It's probably top 3 Alc batches for me this side of 2020. Depending on how it ages it could even move up.

These beats are fukking crazy. I always love the knockers and this is the most knocking batch he's out out overall since My 1st Chemistry Set and Lord Steppington.

Covert Coup will always be my #1 though. And that was basically my intro to Freddie as well :wow:

Don't forget "The Silent Partner". It had a good batch of knockers, too. More than LS I think.
