Many of his supports are quitting too and even Sarkozy told him publicly to quit. Dude's wave is over. :blessed:

And Le Pen gonna Le Pen. She's resorting to proper far right tactics lately with conspiracy claims, defiance of justice and the media and so on (Fillon's on it too). I was scared for a minute that she was not far right anymore :whew:. Only thing is her supporters like her brand which is legit now and don't care much about it unlike Fillon who's brand new (as a potential president I mean). So those cases are hitting him hard while Le Pen just brush it off.

So how do you feel about President Macron? Youngest French President ever?

I don't like him but I'll do with it if it's like that. I'm now sure that we won't have a hard right as a president. Fillon's done and Le Pen is not winning the 2nd round so at least I'm satisfied with that. I didn't like Macron in a socialist government and I never liked his young wold attitude but he said some nice things the last few weeks that tells me I can live with him as a president. Economically speaking he's as right wing as it is (not surprising from a a good banker like him that was employed at a Rothschild bank) but he does have some views that are rather left wing so I can't hate on that.

If Fillon quits and Juppé finally decides to enter the race, it will eat away some votes from Macron though as they are mostly alike on the political spectrum. This could even help Hamon to rise in the polls as the main attraction of Macron is that he's taking away votes from the moderate socialists and also the catholics (which are fleeing Fillon at the moment). With Juppé as an experienced and moderate right politican, Macron could lose his appeal and people might view Hamon as a better left alternative against Juppé.

Dude is not quitting. He's now fully embraced the conspiracy stuff that the media and the justice are out to get him and even relaying dumb twitter rumors. And his supporters eat that whole. Even his wife admitted she wasn't doing shyt on that supposed job she was paid for. He will most likely stir harder on his right so he can suck some votes from Le Pen. And the worst, his party is now backing him fully again after the meeting they had last night. It feels like the world is going dumber and dumber by the minute smh.

I'd been meaning to ask @mbewane and you how Fillion's responses have been playing with French voters? It's so painfully arrogant, stupid, and transparent. He's gone back on everything he's said and was supposed to represent.

Hopefully it leads to nepotism laws as well.

Fillon is doing what Trump, Berlusconi and Le Pen have been doing : playing the victim card. It's all a "leftist conspiracy", etc. Justice is "against him" and wants to "rob his voters of the election". The more affairs come up, the more "proof" it is that judges, etc are "against him" lol. So he shifts the focus from doing illegal stuff to "How come Justice is getting involved in these elections".

The problem is, like I've always said, a lot of Right voters are highly hypocritical and only talk about "values" "hard work" "justice" when it suits them. This we know. For a lot of them they follow whoever is the "leader" of the Right because following the "leader" is in their DNA (much more so than Left voters, who are usually the first to criticize their own "leaders"). So whatever Fillon does/says, they're gonna stick with him, regardless. They don't care about all the affairs, etc because that was hypocritical from the beginning.

It's telling that even as A LOT of other politicians from the Right are abandonning ship (Le Maire, Estrosi, Morano, the DIrector of his campaign and his Spokesperson), voters stick with him. It actually reinforces his new-found image of "Me against the world" and "victimhood".
