MJ obviously won 5 titles/finals MVPs during that stretch while Kobe only won 2 titles/finals MVPs. HOWEVER, remember that Kobe had to go through a rebuilding stretch from 05-07 when he played with Kwame, Smush, and Luke in the starting lineup.

The fact Kobe turned it around that quickly was pretty amazing to go from out of the playoffs in 05 to in the NBA finals in 08.

Plus this season isn't over yet. If Kobe wins the title and finals MVP this year then it would be 5 for MJ vs. 3 for Kobe.

Man, how the fukk did Kobe turn it around? The Lakers turned around when they traded for Gasol and Bynum developed; Kobe was the same player all along. The credit goes to the front office for "turning it around".

Hey Benjamin, these comparison threads would be a lot easier if Kobe could age in reverse like you do, wouldn't they?

From ages 21-27, you were a shytty poster. From ages 28-33, you were equally terrible. But in 2 years you'll be 19 and may actually have some upside.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
you just answer me this

would MJ average the same number he did from 21-26 if he played with Wilt?

He definitely would have averaged the same numbers, considering Wilt was 48 when Jordan entered the league :lolbron:

Imagine if Jordan got Hakeem The Dream in his prime like Kobe got Shaq. :gladbron:

That actually was almost a reality, the Blazers offered the 2nd pick AND Clyde Drexler for Ralph Sampson.

So, Hakeem could have had Mike and Clyde there with him, but the Rockets turned it down.

How many rings would Kobe have if the Lakers didn't go out and acquire good players to help him? Besides Rodman, who did the Bulls get to help Jordan get a ring?

:childplease: you mean that bullshyt stat Hollinger made up so he could make MJ the goat statistically over Wilt

any stat made up to prove a certain point is always invalid in my opinion

plus how could any MJ season be better than Wilt's 50ppg 25rpg season

false

Lakers were the #1 seed out West before the Gasol trade. Bynum was just coming into his own then he got injured against the Grizz and the team started to fall off. Thats when the Lakers made the Gasol trade and the rest if history.

The lakers don't go to 3 straight finals if they don't get Gasol. They were 26-13 when bynum got hurt then they traded for gaHOF and the rest is history.

they traded for Pippen (he was drafted by Seattle)

also remember that Jordan didn't do it himself

93 Bulls w/MJ = 57 wins
94 Bulls w/o MJ = 55 wins

:laff: @ MJ making only 2 regular season wins worth of difference
