i dont get the complaints about this story mode being "too short". its a fighting game, not a damn rpg. how long is a fighting game's story mode supposed to be

the story mode is just to get your freakin skills up so you can play the real game and battle other people

I always wanted to ask but should I be paying attention to frame data and things like that? Fighting games always have a whole other language to me. And whats the purpose of the meter burn throws?
yes, glad developers are starting to add it into games now. for beginners, make note of the start up frames - the lower the better in most cases (deceptively slow moves are sometimes good too), its basically the speed of the attack - and block advantage - the higher the better, in all cases, which can give you a chance to attack again first if its a positive number (safe), block if 0 or at around -7 for example (pretty safe since not all characters have a move faster than 7 frames, especially if the move they blocked pushed them back a bit), or if its negative by a lot just get ready to eat somethin in return.

meter burned throws put you and your opponent at neutral frames based on the move list info, with the intention of making your opponent guess what you're gonna do next. probably more useful if you have meter and your opponent doesn't, that way they can't use a move with armor to get out of the mixup
