Japanese people seem to be very chilled out in comparison to the rest of the world. Very laid-back, structured, respectful but also very interesting. No society is perfect but there's pretty high up in terms of quality in my opinion.

The atom bomb dropping has a lot to do with it. They weren't so nice back in the day.

Op I was with you until I read your post
Japan has racism the singer utada has a black boyfriend and details the experiences he has while in Japan
Clout culture how do you know? This is something you only know if you’ve been there
There is crime it’s just not displayed for the world to see. Yakuza, a lot of perverts, suicides you name it
Japan is slowly losing its population because something culturally is off
With all that said though I still want to visit
Hikaru Utada’ dating a breh. Woman doesn’t play with getting around though. She’s still a heartthrob for me.

I know some brothers who went there for work and stayed multiple years past what they were supposed to. They enjoyed their time there. Said they didn't really experience any overt racism because people tend to keep to themselves and not bother you. One of the main reasons they stayed was because they weren't constantly having to deal with the racism they faced in the states.

Safety was another positive. All my people grew up in NY housing projects or Jersey. Being able to move around without their heads on a swivel was a huge stress reliever.

They did say old people can be xenophobic but they still don't bother you.

They moved around freely and didn't have any issues other than the language barrier and adapting to cultural norms and the food.

Surprisingly they all did well in their professions and some moved on to different companies for more money. Their coworkers seemed cool and they would go out drinking or to clubs damn near every night.

All said they rarely saw fat people and Americans are an embarrassment on that end:flabbynsick:

They were all fukked up after returning to the states and had to readjust to having their defenses up 24/7.

I forgot to mention that none of them were into anything Japanese before going. No anime or anything besides eating sushi. I thought they'd all hate it but extended their stay another 2-3 years.

They all recommended I go. I actually had an interview with a company after getting my degree but didn't land the job:mjcry:

How did you like it and we’re major differences you saw there that you missed?

differences were like you said virtually no crime..clean streets & sidewalks, no potholes, everyone is friendly, nobody tries to bully each other on the road while driving, no glorification of toxic lifestyles, even if you stay away from a major city center, it’s still stores and whatever you need to run errands. People live within their means, ie no trying to stunt on others and try to appear richer than you are.

I know it sounds simple but I can’t stress this enough..the looking out for each other and no crime thing is eye opening. Violence is ingrained into American culture. It’s a damn shame there are certain gas stations some of us don’t go to during the night because we aren’t trying to get robbed or anything. I wish for us to be able to live like that in America one day.

soon as you get off the plane the first thing you’ll notice is how compact everything is there. The cars are way smaller and homes use vertical spaces instead of horizontal space.

-I don't hear much about Racism:patrice:
-No thug culture:mjpls:
-No clout culture
-Little to no crime. No need for guns:wow:
-Even the homeless look friendly:mindblown:

The Japanese just look so friendly:mjcry: I gotta get my passport
No racism because it’s a homogenous society, and even then they have colorism

Japanese gangs are extremely famous, you never heard of Yakuza let alone the biker gangs? I’ll give it to them, that stuff is declining and they have a better code of honor it seems tho

japan does a lot right but it’s not perfect. Super high suicide rates for a reason. Workplace culture is really bad, lot of sexual assault I’ve heard in general, like every country they have their problems

TBH a lot of people are just posting articles without even anecdotal evidence.

Unless you visited, live there or know first hand info it’s not the same experience everyone will have.

I had no issues during my time there and people were just more intrigued that I was from London. But it’s not the same for everyone and I definitely wouldn’t let anything hold me back from visiting or even living there.

South Africa in July
What’s the weather like in South Africa in July?

July falls within the winter season in South Africa, which means temperatures are mild and there’s not much chance of rain. It’s a great time to travel for sunshine and clear blue skies, which is perfect for an adventurous outdoor-focused holiday and spending time on the beach.
Geographical influences

With its location in the southern hemisphere, South Africa experiences winter weather in July. It’s not as cold or wet as the winters in the UK, but temperatures tend to be slightly lower than the summer months. The sea influences South Africa weather in July and the warm waters help to keep things mild throughout the season. In some areas, such as those with a Mediterranean and desert climate can experience very hot weather in July, so you’ll need to pack according to which part of the country you’re visiting.
Averages

The average high is around 30°C in South Africa in July. The colder areas, such as Cape Town, often see lows of 7°C after dark and an average high of 18°C. Since July falls within wet season, you’ll need to pack a waterproof jacket for your visit. The monthly rainfall average is around 100mm in some regions of the country, along with an average sea temperature of 16°C.
