That tribalism is an impediment to progress?
That the division amongst tribes didn't make it easier for Europeans and Arabs to colonize and enslave Africans?
That Africa needs forward thinking leadership and governance?
That basic needs need to be met before many Africans can consider tackling systemic issues that are rooted in age old cultural customs and beliefs?
You need to understand tribal affairs before you speak on it. Otherwise you will just come off as an ignorant fool. It's not different than an African coming to America, like, I didn't realize Blacks were really slaves. Yall look at them, like

Europeans never got along till Berlin Conference and fought even then. Europeans power came from the Americas in the 1400s. Before then, they had no resources to be or do anything other than be global losers. They copied, stole and burned down everything from Africa.

What's impeding progress is Nigeria is resource allocation. There are no jobs in Igboland, roads are shytty, everyone wants an education but they have a merit system which benefits the North where they have energy, running electricity, running water, good paved roads, lavish weddings, etc. SW has it but its extreme in rich or poor. SE is struggling and that's regardless of the education as most of the best Universities are in the SE. Igbos tend to be the most educated but with no resources and discrimination, they have issues. You can say just end it and that's what the people would like but TPTB dont want that. UN dont help. This is what you don't get which you should since you Black in America and this what everyone does to Blacks here.
Africa had good leaders. Whites push them out or kill em. Zimbabwe for example, Mugabe's wife was going to be a leader for the people, Cacs made it their mission that it will never happen and it did not.
Africa are currently dominated by their European colonial counterparts. This is why Africa has no progress. Their like Black leaders here. They do for themselves and their network and not for the collective as their ain't enough for the people.
