I know they closed the one in Atlanta I was working at two years ago. There is a lot reasons why that company is failing and it has nothing to do with Covid.

real sad aspect about the death of these retail stores is the uniqueness some of their stores would have...you can't replicate the feeling you'd have as a kid going into some of these stores & picking up some shyt you wanted to copping it online now a days or at Walmart

They tried but they could not compete with the online retailers. I mean even with the in store price matching, they would take the commission away from the sales associates to make the difference.

Funny thing is before COVID I noticed the lack of restocking, and one of the workers said the company was changing suppliers for things. Then COVID hit months later and they just never bothered. I think the execs just milked whatever and used the pandemic as a reason to do nothing.
