I understand your issue OP. But I'm done being upset. I write my own comics and sell them in store and conventions. I can only control what I do. Marvel can do what it wants they don't give a fukk about us.

If y'all wanna support my comics they're on sale at Forbidden Planet in New York City. We also ship comics to other states. They're also on sale digitally here. Lawful Evil Comics - itch.io
The one over by NYU?

I use to go there in high school when I took Saturday classes.

I'll definitely visit next time I come home.

Bizarre take. There's an entire generation of comic readers who grew up with miles as their spiderman and only knew black nick fury.

The panels OP posted are part of a larger story. Marvel isn't so stupid as to think white people will want to read black panther because now there's a white character there. They know that generations of readers know black panther as representative of the continent of Africa. The character's blackness is an important aspect of how he's depicted because he's underestimated by people whose racial bias has a chokehold on them.

The comics industry is old. They pull all kinds of stunts to generate controversy and get people to read.

"What a white panther? Why? Who? How?" Is what the expected reaction is. You're then compelled to look into it and then read the story to answer those questions.
There has never been an entire generation raised with miles morales as their only spiderman. Stop lying

Miles has only been a spiderman.

Peter parker remains in all media the definite or definitive spiderman.

The panel presented are the cliffhanger at the end of a episode to get you to pay for the next issue.

Modern movie folks have made bp an embodiment of Africa. Hidlin and priest made a great character and world building. I think that is the disconnect. Non comics have made this character a representation of something the creators of this character we shall say modern no, don't like. Priest really dislikes the Coates coogler and movie versions, esp BP2 version.

Yeah. Ask them for Lawful Evil or Dark Spider. If you like X-Men then get Lawful Evil. If you like Daredevil and Black Panther then pick up Dark Spider.

Villa Straylight.
It used to be canon that dora were like his personal bride/ harem but people felt like him being a king and sleeping with his body guards was problematic.
He never slept with any of them though that was the rub. They were all there just to appease the ruling families of Wakanda who have a say in royal dealings.

Did this white man beat the breaks off of Tchalla and became king? From what I recall from my readings as a youth they didn't abuse the King.

And this story would be position better if he actually looked Biracial instead of a blonde hair white man.

Y'all caping for this travesty
Let us be clear bro. This was never ours. The guy they have writing this run is the same one who made Panther the great warrior king we miss. All these writers have to obey the editors. The editors at Marvel are all cacs. Support black comics. Boycott bootlick comics.

Yep for peace purposes. He expanded on Bashenga uniting the tribes to form Wakanda

there is some merit to this discussion. I did not like T'challa in the film. He was whooped every which a way and just wasn't the face of strength I expected.

Coogler's T'Challa and MCU Sam Wilson have similar problems IMO; both watered down to be safe for white movie goers to the point where they're boring and dont always look like complelling heroes.

IMO Coogler gave alot all T’Challa's more aggressive and heroic traits to Killmonger.

Don McGregor had the best Black Panther run, imo :manny:
That run was 99.9% black people if I remember correctly.
I was a Black Panther way back in the early 90s and searching for all his appearances in 25 and 50 cent bins lol. The Priest run was fine but I was dipping out of comics by that point. The Hudlin run was meh overall but I think I like it more than what they have been doing since the mainstream success of the character.

Yeah, the problem with Coogler's T'Challa is that spent the whole entire film reacting to everything around him and he didn't feel fully in control. Coogler gave Killmonger his tactical mindset, he gave Okoye his cold warrior spirit and mentality, and he gave Shuri his intelligence and ingenuity. Makes for a far less compelling hero. I still love Chadwick's portrayal and he did the best with what he was given.

McGregor's run was fun but T'Challa was getting the beats put onto him by old ladies lol

Priest actually made him a legit force to be reckoned with and I'm glad he decided to lace his suit with vibranium because it never made sense for a highly intelligent King of an advanced nation with access to the most indestructable metal to go into battle with regular spandex lol.
