Hoyer was never good though. They won in spite of him. Get the ball to Gordon and Cameron and have the defense do just enough to pull out the win.

Right...so why is he "regressing" then? He was a meh QB who had some good games and now he's having some bad ones. Pretty much par for the course. Who in their right mind thought Hoyer was anything special?

Staying with Hoyer is like settling when you got a dime waiting in the wings. Manziel is a young GOAT, the fact they waited this long was a waste of time.

hoyer was never that good though
even his stats this year 55% accuracy 11tds and 10 ints qb rating of 82

folks acting like he was putting up these great numbers, dude is a backup at that might as well see what manziel can do

Thank you. They got nothing to lose might as well let him get his time and get adjustedd

the pressure of having to worry about getting benched for the backup cause he's a bigger draw probably finally got to him....anyway, never said he was special, but they were winning with him and that's all that matters....something the browns havent done in a long time....if johnny comes in, puts up nice numbers, and they lose, they gonna go right back to hoyer....

:childplease:

hoyer is a average middle of the pack qb, he's a drew stanton, matt flynn

who knows what you will get with manziel but itll prob be the exact same thing,

cant believe at one point folks wee talking about signing hoyer to a big etension :heh:

thank the defense, not hoyer

uh huh....dont matter who you thank, they were still winning with him at qb....and that was without them having gordon, tate, and pretty much any offensive threat besides cameron for most of the year....

now, if johnny comes in and they dont win, what you gonna say then?....

Breh give it up already...do you just wanna "win" or do you actually wanna win and go somewhere in the playoffs.

Like @Emperor_ReinScarf said they can thank the defense. Hoyer is average QB not someone you build a franchise around.

exactly where had the browns gone before hoyer?...no where....he's helped them win more games and be competitive this year than they have in years...

what has johnny shown that makes yall think he's this franchise saving qb?....and all that shyt yall talking about hoyer, the same can be said for johnny, the difference: hoyer has won games in this league.....but i know, johnny's flashier and the media likes him more, so you start him....i just cant wait to hear the excuses when the browns lose the next couple games with him starting.....

Cleveland did Hoyer dirty today :scust:

He's played pretty good this year puttin them in contention for a playoff spot he didn't deserve that..

they been waiting to pull this move all year, they just needed an excuse to do it....cause unless the starting qb is a star, you dont draft a qb in the 1st round and dont play him....

my gosh do people even watch the games and look at stats?

the browns d is top notch and so is their running game, its not like hoyer has been great hes average, just because the browns have come back in many games you see the 4th quarter highlights and it makes him look good.

In this day and age in teh nfl dude cant even pass for higher than 55%, he has 11tds and 10 ints on the year
hes not tearing it up

any decent qb youd get the same input, just that the browns wasted years on brandon weeden
