Let me be clear I'm a huge fan of Irving, he's an amazing dribbler and a very solid shooter but he's trying to stand out too much with his shooting. He's not playing for the team at the moment, that's perfectly clear. 'Bron is the best player in the league but he's not as quick or as nimble as Irving so if you're going to relegate arguably the best dribbler in the league to just a shooter you're NEVER going to get the best out of him.
You're never gonna get the best out of star players who play on a team with Bron. See Bosh. It's just the way it is, it's about working out how to best juggle to get the most out of them.
'Bron needs the ball in his hands in and around the rim as a big guy and a scorer, his power to find the basket is unfukkwithable. But Irving should be the one to pick out the pockets and assist.
The ball moves well for two quarters, but once their defense starts leaking points they drift back into their bad habits. Then Bron and Irving take turns trying to get the team back in the game.
Otherwise it's going to be what we saw tonight every single night. If 'Bron is going to shoot, he needs to be in the best position to shoot and having him as both carrier and shooter isn't working.
It isn't working because Bron isn't at the top of his game.

Good job WAS. This team usually takes an L. Didn't play great, a lot of turnovers, but they buckled down on defense and played efficiently on the offensive end.
