So after watching both docs, one thing I’m still wondering. Was Billy scamming the ENTIRE time or was there a point where he legitimately thought the festival was gonna work? Like the part where he’s crying and having a breakdown made me think that a part of him thought they could pull the festival off but at the same time he could be that much of a sociopath where even those tears were part of the con

He knew it wouldn't work. He had to go through with it though to try and recoup some of the money he was in debt.

When that one planner that he kicked out was saying they should stay on the boats. This is a version of that. The difference is they don't go to islands with zero infrastructure

Yea in hindsight that would’ve been a perfect idea for that situation

Everyone could come to the island just for the concert (or watch from the boats for VIPs) and leave back to boats when it’s over to sleep, etc

Only thing is how would they find all the boats and it’s way more expensive for housing

Even though it fell apart, they still dumped 20+ million into it. Most of it was other peoples money, but they were too shortsighted to not just put it off a year. I"m sure it was prob because he had taken investor money to cover other losses so he couldn't postpone.

Also how is Kanye coming out of all this unscathed.

He and GOOD music were supposed to be headliners and who people were mainly paying to see. They never publicly pulled out or made any statements, and I think they got paid.

There is another studio in Manhattan like that, where you take pics in what I think is like a penthouse, or a regular condo made to resemble one. It could even be a warehouse.
