Herb focuses on multis in a way that only top tier NY rappers historically have done. The internal rhyme schemes in the last minute of this song are a good example

And I'm GDK, EBK, MBG, NLMB crazy
Give me a switch, it get like NC-double A, nikka, I'll blitz
nikkas bytches, I don't appreciate it but he switch out like he crazy
Sent a hit, I'm mad 'cause he made me, I was gettin' high at the Ritz
10K for the fit, I'm too wavy, 29, I'm rich with 3 babies
Pinky ring, the wrist cost 380, really made it I'm the shyt
Investigations, yes I evaded, mouths shut, you know how we played it
Now I'm M.I.A, might be vacant, thank God I went legit

Im sorry...this nygga gives me anxiety with him rapping loud, messy and off the Beat.

He rap like he JUST started like a week ago and got potential...but the nygga been rapping forever.

Really.

Bump j made the Best gangsta song ever tho.

Art Barr

I did a lot of work with Bump, in like '04-'05. Back when he was doing his Grimeyville mixtapes. Goon Squad days. Dude was always nice with it. Just couldn't leave the street sh*t alone and got caught up.

And Mikkey and Mick Jenkins are another two dudes from Chicago that were always dope MC's.

But Mick Jenkins is probably the best spitter Chicago has right now. Dude is seriously nice!

Midnight Club 3 put me on to Bump J…

I was on a Bump J binge back in 2017, the year before he touched down and randomly went on a binge listen by going on DatPiff and downloading all his stuff.

Dude was ignorantly smooth. He was a goon that could rap

I’m glad that he still has the Kanye connection though

Man, these Nyggas is RAW!

can't believe I never heard of them.

Whole time looking for my Early mixtape Lupe fiasco fix and these Nyggas was right there!

Herbo isn't even the best rapper from No Limit.

He's likely only talking about the current generation and people who were on the scene when he was coming up.

BUMP J WAS LOCKED UP
WHEN HERB WAS COMING UP
AND NYC WAS DEAD IN THE WATER
SO HES CLEARLY TALKING ABOUT
THE LEGENDS WHICH MAKES HIS

This offbeat trash ass nikka. I only come across him on features and he always the worst one, offbeat, and makes the song worst just from being on the track. :mjlol:

nikkas in this thread kill me acting like Herb ain’t nice lol, I never understood the hatred for off beat rapping. If it’s not your cup of tea that’s fine, but sometimes being unorthodox works. nikkas in the Coli just want all rappers to rap the same :russ:

Nothing against off beat shyt, I can appreciate it(Bluface aight sometimes), but most the features I heard Herbo on from the artists I fukk with makes me believe he trash :unimpressed:

I stand by saying he made the above songs worse from being on there. Same about who want smoke too :manny:

I like the older Chicago rappers like Common, Bump J, Twista, Crucial Conflict, Doe or Die etc.

And also more lowkey ones like DA Smart, EC Illa, and Snypaz

Most of these drill nikkas are fukking horrible :scusthov: and I despise them
Snypaz lowkey get constant rotation from me. That 2001 album had a few heaters
