-I can't speak for other regions but a lot of people in his generation wasn't hearing that shyt growing up because their parents, cousins & OGs weren't listening to the shyt. Part of why drill blew up, is because these were literally children making songs about what they were doing in real life.

Even then, he'd have been a rapper in his mid 30's and at best wouldn't even do songs with them cause of how a lot of them songs ended up causing real life problems.
