I'm Everywhere you ain't never there
This thread gets made at least once a year
Let’s start with the Souls games:
Yeah, I said it — they’re overrated. They feel like they exist solely so people can flex how “good” they are at games. It’s less about fun and more about proving something. If that’s your thing? Cool. For me? It’s like trying to enjoy a meal while someone yells “GIT GUD” in your ear.
Now onto Oblivion Remaster.
I never played the original, and after sinking what feels like a full sabbatical into Skyrim, Fallout, Starfield, and Cyberpunk… Oblivion just ain’t clicking. It’s slow, the combat feels like swinging a pool noodle underwater, and the story has zero urgency. It feels like I showed up to the party 20 years too late and everyone already left.
God of War (2018 & Ragnarok)
Look, I wanted to be hype. Kratos yelling, axes flying — let’s go, right? But the minute I realized I was playing a heavily scripted, over-dialogued dad simulator, I was out. I didn’t want to babysit. I wanted to tear through mythological monstrosities in glorious, rage-fueled silence.
And finally, the Persona series.
People worship these games like they’re sacred texts, and I respect the fandom — but how are y’all okay with spending the first 10-15 hours doing what feels like anime-flavored chores? Go to school. Feed the cat. Study. Sleep. Repeat. I’m not booting up my PS5 to simulate my high school GPA stress all over again.
Honerble mention the Witcher 3. The combat is awful and the fetch quests ruined it for me
