Games you tried multiple times and just couldn’t get into?

Let’s start with the Souls games:

Yeah, I said it — they’re overrated. They feel like they exist solely so people can flex how “good” they are at games. It’s less about fun and more about proving something. If that’s your thing? Cool. For me? It’s like trying to enjoy a meal while someone yells “GIT GUD” in your ear.

Now onto Oblivion Remaster.

I never played the original, and after sinking what feels like a full sabbatical into Skyrim, Fallout, Starfield, and Cyberpunk… Oblivion just ain’t clicking. It’s slow, the combat feels like swinging a pool noodle underwater, and the story has zero urgency. It feels like I showed up to the party 20 years too late and everyone already left.

God of War (2018 & Ragnarok)

Look, I wanted to be hype. Kratos yelling, axes flying — let’s go, right? But the minute I realized I was playing a heavily scripted, over-dialogued dad simulator, I was out. I didn’t want to babysit. I wanted to tear through mythological monstrosities in glorious, rage-fueled silence.

And finally, the Persona series.

People worship these games like they’re sacred texts, and I respect the fandom — but how are y’all okay with spending the first 10-15 hours doing what feels like anime-flavored chores? Go to school. Feed the cat. Study. Sleep. Repeat. I’m not booting up my PS5 to simulate my high school GPA stress all over again.

Honerble mention the Witcher 3. The combat is awful and the fetch quests ruined it for me

Red Dead.

Maybe the whole country and western thing. But just can’t do it even on my 3rd try.
How far did you get? It picks up after you get out of the snow, but it REALLY picks up in Chapter 3.

Mine is The Witcher 3. Granted it wasn't multiple times I quit. I bought it when it was around $10 and everyone was hyping it up. I'm thinking because I never played 1 or 2 that I just couldn't get into the story. Plus even though they're different types of games, it was hard getting into it after playing RDR2.

Yea I dunno how these Soulslike games took off. I'm trying Lies of P since it's on PSN+ and Pinocchio is my favourite Disney movie so I'm trying to go through it. But it if your not locked on, your swinging and missing, then if you are locked on, you can't see what's going on around you. And it just doesn't feel responsive to me.

Putting you in a door way 50 feet in the air, making you cross a skinny ass plank and then putting a guy whipping bombs at you on the other side or putting a guy with a 5 hit combo on a blind turn is :mjlol:

  • Spider-Man 2... still haven't finished it. Got as far as the carnival part
  • FF7: Rebirth... still haven't finished it. Got as far as the gold saucer
  • Horizon: Forbidden West... finished it, but only after i shelved it for a bout a year after playin maybe 5 hours worth
Was weird bc i liked the predecessors for all 3 of these games and was pretty hyped for the sequels. But i guess i found the stories to be mediocre and the gameplay didn't keep my attention like before.
I came to conclusion I can’t play another version of the same game. That’s why I know I won’t like ghost of tsu 2

I didn’t like horizon 2 or another god of war game or last of us etc etc

I wanna play something new
