Red Dead 2. I never played part 1 that much and I finally decided to play 2 a couple years ago and the world is really dope but I just don't have time to do all these missions and ride my horse all over the fukking place and every other mundane thing. I would play the hell out of this game 20 years ago but I just don't have the patience for it now.

For me it's most Legend of Zelda games. I'm at the point now where I just stop trying to like them and just let other people love them. I think I just love RPGs with what I consider to be character progression and I don't feel like Zelda has that and never will.

I'm currently having this issue with Persona 3. I've gotten at best, maybe 15 hours into one of the iterations and I've bought almost every one of them but for some reason, I just can't get deep enough into it before I lose interest or something else drops or something. It's a good game, I can see that, but I think I just got into it too late when its predecessors had already gotten me with better mechanics and more interesting characters IMO.
Persona 3 is definitely the "building block" game of the 3, you can tell where they improved the formula in future games, and it pretty much is a prototype in a lot of ways. Between P4, P5 and now Metaphor, that formula is pretty much perfected, lol.

Still, there's a lot of good in there, the way it handles it's plot twist and final boss is very clever and unique for it's time.

I'm curious if this mentality will translate to GTA6 as more and more people are starting to get louder and louder about their hate for open world games and how they handle themselves.

Red Dead 2 does have fast travel that no one uses though, it cuts down a lot of the BS if you use it. I only found out about it as I was damn near done with the game.:mjlol:

Yeah after playing GTA V it was boring AF. The online was even worse being an absolute grindfest, thankfully I had a group of friends to play with otherwise it would've taken forever to earn any money on there.

Hilarious.

GTA6 will have enough fukkery to keep people engaged. Fast cars and boats and hoes are more fun then riding horses. However I did enjoy the horse riding in Ghosts of Tsushima (sp) and felt that open world wasnt too overwhelming but also loved the scenery.

But in general I am done with open world games.

Final Fantasy Tactics :umad:
ngl.... i play a *lot* of tactics/strategy games and even when fftactics first dropped ages ago - it was never better than tactics ogre. and since then other games had completely lapped it in the same console generation

if that shyt was called wild arms tactics or trails of tactics or xeno tactics it doesn't get nearly the same praise.

awful ui, tedious leveling, story is straight up weak, map design trash, unbalanced across the board, slapped together mechanics from other games, mid OST, no characters worth remembering. the fact SE brought this shyt back instead of other titles is legit hilarious to me
