the coming days, Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be available for digital pre-order on both the Xbox Store and Windows Store. As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, if you purchase a digital version of Middle-earth: Shadow of War on either the Xbox Store or Windows Store, you will automatically have access to the game on both Xbox One and Windows 10 at launch – and for Project Scorpio at its launch this holiday season – at no additional cost.
Xbox Play Anywhere enables gamers to save their Middle-earth: Shadow of War progress, DLC (including add-ons, Expansion Pass and in-game unlocks), Gamerscore and Achievements to their Xbox Live cloud-synced player profiles, so they can pick up where they left on another Xbox One or Windows 10.

I feel you.
What's interesting about this whole "enhanced versions", "60 v 30 fps" and whether the versions are the same is something that I remembered from the Shadow of War surprise reveal back in February...
See, the bolded tells a very interesting story of what you get when you buy the digital version of Shadow of Mordor - getting a Windows 10 and Scorpio version for no additional cost. It seems like Xbox may have something up their sleeve regarding what the Scorpio really is. It seems there is a possibility that the Scorpio will play base Xbox One games and enhance them but something about digital content suggests to me that Scorpio may have a version of the games that may only be available digitally considering shipping physical copies to a niche system might be cost prohibitive.
Clearly, this is all speculation, but think about this tweet that you posted -

In that tweet 4/4: We are currently evaluating 4k for Xbox One X. It launches after D2 and so we are focused on the launch consoles right now.
That seems to corroborate the Xbox One X is being considered for its own unique optimizations. Who knows if XiX actually can hit 4k/60FPS w/ this game, but we actually my be uncovering that the system will be optimized additionally to the base X1 and two options may be available to XiX owners:
1) Purchased physical copies of multiplats will be updated and enhanced when the X1 disk is placed in the XIX disc port
or
2) You can purchase digitally and the version you get will be the actual fully optimized XIX version.
That would actually help kill two birds with one stone - Preventing the XIX from making the other X1's obsolete while offering strictly digital content/games/apps that may be tailored to the XiX.
shyt... that might also be why they are focusing on Indies... lower budgets that may be able to produce Scorpio digital content without making other versions feel left out.
I'm just speaking out of my ass, though. The Arcadium doesn't want anything but console wars talk.
Do you say that because of what's been stated as the timing of when they worked on it in comparison to when the XiX will be released?they can probably checkerboard 4k for the x1x, but the 60fps won't happen. You'll get the better graphics but not the framerate boost. If you have a capable PC, going digital is a no brainer IMO
Do you say that because of what's been stated as the timing of when they worked on it in comparison to when the XiX will be released?
Or are you saying that you don't feel the XIX can run that at 4k/60fps?
Or some other reason, possibly?
There's about 55 million PS4 systems out there
About 25 million Xbox one systems out there
There's maybe 500,000 PS4 pros out there
There's 0 Xbox one X out there
Who do you think developers are gonna cater to?
This is why i believe people are wasting money buying X1x or PS4 pro..
By the time 4k is the norm, 5k will be out..
I'm legit upset that 1080p is not going to be the standard moving forward.8K is the next jump in TV, but we still waiting on native 4k30 to be the norm. 4k60 is gonna require better processors than what we have in these consoles today. We expecting too much for under 500 man. 4k native has got to be the baseline standard when the next gen consoles drop.
1080p standard should have been at the beginning of this gen as well but that's another story.
I'm legit upset that 1080p is not going to be the standard moving forward.
Although I have yet to game on 4k, I don't understand why they can't atleast provide the opportunity for the pro and Xix to have the option to play in 4k/30 or 1080p/60.
Weren't we still talking about 1080p before pro/scorpio were topics? IS 4k really that much better that we are willing to play mediocre 4k than play 1080p in its most optimized?
Also, do you feel like the next non-racing visually stunning 1st party xbox one game won't be able to run 4k/60fps on XiX?
I'm a layman when it comes to this tech shyt but it seems from what you're saying, Destiny 2, this early in their life cycle, is too overwhelming for these systems to handle 4k/60... does that mean future games that are just as demanding will never hit 4k/60fps throughout the lifecycle of these systems?![]()
